Paint booth or interrogation room?

Had to repair some brackets on the grille mount. But now it's cleaned and painted with epoxy.
I also did the hood hinges with this brighter tone of epoxy. It suits the R4 better as base.
Started sanding and prepping underside of the hood. Thank god I don't do this for a living.

Damn it! Just my luck... the jar of satin black was not mixed correctly from the manufacturer and was WAY to shiny. So I have to sand down the grille again and respray and the new paint won't come in until early next week. On the good side, the temporary paint booth has worked out pretty well. Not much dust. At least the underside of the hood is prepped for epoxy.

Does the scoop have mounting studs so you can't see them? If not how is it mounted? My preference is no lip showing because they usually there are fasteners showing. Looks great.

Thank's! The scoop has four studs, two of them visible underneath and two hidden behind supports, reachable through some holes. I really like this kind of scoop. Looks mean but not too vulgar.

I promised my wife I'd build an extention to the House this year. I need this car on the road this spring/Summer. Let's just say this dilemma put a tourch on my ***!
Masken off and sprayed the front of the fenders that's visible through the grille satin black.

Wife projects! My wife wanted a larger deck, OK dear. So I added a 30' x 32' deck with a 28' x 28' garage under it. Win Win solution.

Thank's Funknut! But I have to disapoint you on the quality of the paint job! It looks pretty ok from a distance. But, bear in mind, this is just for making it decent enough so I can get the beast on the road and test everything out properly. After I'm pleased with it all I'm tearing it down to have a shop do a top quality job on all panels. I'm also probably removing the vinyl top to have the roof painted instead. I think this color looks better without a vinyl top.

I don't know, man, there's a good amount of shine on those panels! Looks great to me.



But I completely understand wanting to get it back on the road quickly. Lots of people like the vinyl top, but I agree it will look sharp without it.
