Jim, I've been following your post for awhile now and its quite impressive and inspiring. A lot of the things I've seen you do to your coronet gave me some the confidence I needed to say, "I don't need to pay someone to do all this bodywork, I can do that."

Front seal on the AC compressor leaks like crazy. Guess I did something wrong there too. Not gonna worry about it today. Gonna button up the interior, bleed the brake and DRIVE it outside!

Well, you don't really need that A/C.......yet. Plus with no windshield I bet you get a cool breeze on the highway.

Hope it is an easy fix, A/C systems are the only thing on a car I won't touch. More witchcraft there than in an automatic transmission.

No I think I need the air-conditioning for the drag to keep that 318 slowed down

I'm no AC expert, but I bought a rebuilt compressor one time for my 89 Plymouth Laser. The Freon leaked around the clutch. I took it to a shop when I gave up. The mechanic suggested I let it "wear in". He was partially correct. It stopped leaking for about a year. Started leaking again, and I traded the car off.

So.....did you get the car on the road?

This is GREAT! What an achievement in less than 12 months! Professional resto shops that charge 55 grand and up for services could not have accomplished what you did in 12 months, and you kept your day job to boot! (and your are still married) Amazing!
My wife and watched this video and are happy for you.
