1969 Road Runner facelift

Mopar show

It was a good Mopar show in Farmington Dave, sorry you couldn't make it! I had quite a few people checking out the Satellite but no one took it home!
Have a good one, steve

I would have loved to have gone.

Maybe next year.

I can't believe you are still sitting on that satellite.

I for one certainly appreciate a rust free car, sure thought you would have sold her by now.

hi

Other than it being on c/list for the past 2 weeks this is actually the first time I took it out to a show to try to sell it. I think I am gonna have better luck selling my old '75 chevy wagon! darnit anyway!

UPDATE: Dave, I sold the car last night to a guy I know in Mora MN...he owns a 70 Challenger RT and wants to make the Satellite into a Road Runner clone. Thanks for your help! steve

Thanks for posting the videos Dave, my headliner was missing and I never had sailpanels so this is great to know ), wondering if you have a pic of the trunk weatherstriping, got mine today and not sure which way it goes as this was also misssing in my car. plus , If you have a good pic to of the gas pedel area, Love to see it as my body guy through away the old front floor that had the pedal holes, project is comming allong nice , thanks again for your posts! best wishes Clay Dots

dave, awesome video. Simple things like that hold soooo much info that all can use and, even if not followed to the tee, gives one something to go by. Thank You!!! That one "Link" as you called it, almost looked like an extended hook.

For sure it is more like a hook than anything, shoot'n live unrehearsed, "clip" or "link" was the best I could come up with lol!!

Claydots I don't think I have any pics of the trunk seal and we already removed it but I'm sure it won't be hard to get one of these fine fellers to take a couple pics of a correctly installed trunk seal.

My progress has admittedly slowed. I'm burning out on it.

I'd have done much better to take the weekend off and head down to mopars in the park for some shiny finished inspiration.

We are holding a car show up in Roseau, MN this weekend. Saturday the 11th at the pioneer farm park just 2 miles west of Roseau on HWY 11. We usually get a handful of nice mopars, I am looking forward to the show this weekend because I need to be reminded of the finished product.

Then following our show (the next weekend) I'll be taking the family on one of those hard core canoe/tent primitive camping trips in the boundary waters canoe area. This is also something I need very much, clear my head, play with the kids, slow down and enjoy life ya know?

Foggy mornings lakeside, loons crying, water slapping the rocky shoreline... Oh I'm sooooo there.

If I could end that camping trip with a stop at a car show on my way back home, then you'd see some new life back in this project for sure

I agree....Kick back, relax and enjoy life a little. Your car isn't going any where Dave. It isn't no fun when going out to work on the car and you're really not looking forward to it.
Ask me.......I know!!!

You lucky man. Do you use your own stuff or get outfitted. I'm originally from Ashland WI and for a senior trip in high school we went on a 1 week trip to the BWCA into Agnus lake. Might have the spelling wrong. Man, what a good time. We went in late May when the skeeters hadn't hatched yet.

We generally take our own gear, I'm trying to decide on whether or not to bring our own (heavy) canoes this year like usual or rent a couple light weights up there.

I've never used an outfitter for any gear before... I dunno, gotta make up my mind pretty quick though.

I've certainly heard of agnes lake, I'm sure thare's an angus too, so many damn lakes.

We are trying a brand new trip for our group this year, up on the gunflint trail we will enter Ham lake and make our way south, cross bay, rib, karl, long island.

No real plans on where to camp, just winging it.

Here's a teaser from last year's trip with the kids.

nice pictures, looked like some good eatin' there.

it wasn't too bad.

car show this weekend followed by a week vacation with awesome camping...

I think I'm going to be recharged on my mopar juices by the time we get home.

I'll be dying to tear into that car again and that's the mindset I need if I want to drive this car this summer.
