I agree Mike, build it the way you want it!
It's a big bar for big cars! I think you'll get it in there. I'm mounting mine in between the new frame rails I'll be welding in. It will be above the floor pan right over the axle. The links go through the original holes in the sheetmetal right there.ARB bar is going to be a tight fit with my street Lynx suspension. Meet with my welder today. If anyone can make it fit, he can.
That's the plan!I agree Mike, build it the way you want it!
Thanks! The planning and execution of the fine details were what my previous builds lacked. I'm trying hard with this one. I wish my skill level was a bit higher in the TIG arena though.Looks great ARB is in the car. If the rain will go away I can go and test it
The detail in your car is FABULOUS.
Originally, the plan was to run a 28" drag radial. That plan has changed to also accommodate a 30" drag radial. I left the wheel tub height stock which will be a problem with the 30" radial. I raised the leaf springs 3" and will have -1" leafs for a 4" drop. My plan at this point is to get the car together and on the ground and see how low it is and how much clearance I have in the tub. At that point, if I don't have enough clearance, I'll cut the top of the tubs out from underneath and make raised replacements. This is very inspirational and educational as I'm just starting my build and I've been a bit intimidated by the amount of bad metal in the back half, but after watching you just go to it, I feel it's achievable.
How far are you lowering the rear end and what diameter tire are you using? Did you leave the wheel tub height stock?
well your plans for the car are pretty cool. Gonna get alot of attention. let me know when it's finished...I can't wait to drive it!Originally, the plan was to run a 28" drag radial.
