Pretty sure I'd have parts. Is the output shaft itself OK? I fixed the same failure for a customer this summer,

It’s an emergency brake and WHAT does it have to do with being in park?Yes...
Cracked rear pump housing, broken park gear, vaporized governor mechanism. A&A(Rick) hooked me up with everything! Put in spacer to eliminate gov. made plate to replace park mechanism cover. Removed all the mech. Back together - working fine sitting on jack stands, waiting for snow to go and dry roads for test! What did you end up finding?

I have extra park mechanisms and cables. I will be 78 in March, maybe the next guy will park it? LOL!Weremived the governer and thinned the park gear down to 1/4" wide. Also trimmed off part of the snap ring boss in my racecar. Then cut a new groove in the output shaft, so no need for the spacer. If you ever decide you need park. I have a good source of parts.
