Am I getting burned? What are you paying for your annual car registration?

Need to check the 67 wagon but it's similar to yours Greg and Randy. However...my 04 Dually is just under $500. It's 20 years old. Ffn criminal. Another reason its for sale.

Hellcat California Plate Sticker $858 a year.
Hellcat Florida Plate Sticker $97 for TWO years.

It is stuff like this that makes this state look absolutely criminal. If Florida and other states also have roads and bridges to maintain and Police/Fire/Medics to pay for, how are they able to get by with lower income taxes and lower fees like this? Why the hell do we have to pay so much?

Hmmm. Can you say free medical and education for non citizens? How about Green energy? How about a high speed rail line from the capitol to LA? How about free drugs and syringes to addicts?

How about a high speed rail line from the capitol to LA?
Tell me more.... About a rail line that will never be completed.... That even if it were, I would never ride.....

While your at it tell me about how my $$$ are supposed to maintain our roads... I travel all around the country, in spite of our mild weather we have some of the worst roads in the country...

Yeah, the rail line thats STILL not completed. But certain companies have enjoyed making a load off of it courtesy of the taxpayer. Can't wait for the next state election.

We have annual fees here for 're-licencing' costs. Over 40 years old and a vehicle is classified as Vintage - re-licence fees are only NZ$48 yearly for my Red Wagon.

The red licence plates I own for life....and they cost me NZ$900 15 years ago. The same plates would now cost around NZ$999

I still own the original '44O' plates here - bought new in 1987 at a whopping cost of NZ$230 ...probably should sell them and make some money

I’m in Cali too, I don’t know what the Coronet will cost annually since I’ve only paid the first reg when you transfer it etc and I don’t have the bill in front of me buuuuut:
1972 Ranchero is $176 (I think there is some pick up truck BS hidden in there)
1977 Corvette about $155

It sucks.

From what I have heard, the rail project was one of the stupidest concepts ever. High speed transit running from upper central California but stopping 20+ miles short of Los Angeles.
There is a small mountain range between the central valley and the Southern valley and they can't run a train through it.
This means that if you want to use the train to go to L.A, it goes like this:
* Drive your car or get a ride to the train depot.
* Ride the train from Sacramento or the Bay Area southward.
* The trail STOPS around "Mettler" or "Wheeler Ridge" which is at the end of the San Joaquin Valley.
* Rent a car or get a ride up and over the "Grapevine" into Southern CA.
OR ......
Drive your own car the whole way.
