As said before, loosing the GTX after it surviving 55 years is a bummer but right now I'm hoping we hear some positive news about the driver & his passenger...
 
What is being sent? Where when did the accident happen.
 
Thanks for the update @Kern Dog. Big sigh of relief that they survived. Hope the folks involved mend fully and quickly.
 
Thanks Greg... Been hoping for a positive update...Before opening this post I got a sense of dread "Do I really want to open this?" Good to hear they are both recovering... And that there's at least a chance the insurance coverage will be enough

Has anyone ever said what happened to wreck the car like that ??
It may be public record. You may only need the date, location and the name of the driver to find out. Maybe the CA Dept of Transportation has a website, maybe the CA Highway Patrol?
Just a guess, but with as flat as the rear looks, it sure looks like a flat front like a big rig hit it from behind and pushed it into whatever was in front of it.
