Band of Brothers Takes to the Air

The folks behind Band of Brothers and The Pacific are now making The Mighty Eighth about 8th Air Force operations in 1942/1943. This looks pretty good.

Lets hope it as good as Band of Brothers and nothing like the Pacific. Ive heard the source material is good. That was the biggest problem with The Pacific, they started from the book of a guy who went nuts. Watching Hanks and Spielberg trash our marines in the Pacific was hard to watch. The flyer's stories, including my uncle and his friends, should be told well. I've heard spring 2017 for release.

My uncle was in the 8th. Shot down on his 13th mission in a B 24. He was the top turrent gunner.
