Bullseye!.........'71 Dodge Dart, right at home @ FBBO

Geez Will, you're slacking!!!!!!I figured the Dart would've been done by now.

All kidding aside. Looks like you've got a full plate on your hands.
whatever, you're doing a great job. I'm giving you two thumbs up!:wtg:

Wow, Thats the way to enjoy the summer, all that planting and being in the woods getting the work done and having fun with everything else, Cool Will, and thanks for the video, we do it close hear to home but the woods we love, and right now there's no snow, its beautiful either way but the fire out back here is much more enjoyable with summer hear, I still don't really care for those smore's i think Gabby calls them, but i love my all beef hotdogs on a stick over the coals lol.. ENJOY bud, its all fun in the woods!!

I will, you too Ron! I hope you have a pleasant & enjoyable summer as well.

awesome man, now i want another car.

LOL...It's not a hobby, it's an addiction Hehehehe.

Very cool Prop, he'll always remember those trips and how cool his uncle is.

Thanks Dev! I hope it left an impression. Kids these days just seem lost in convenience and technology. No clue how they're going to survive when the tough gets going.

Wow Prop . . . will you adopt me so you can be my COOL Uncle too ! ! ! Very nice property and great campsite ! ! !

LOL...Anytime you want to come up Kahn, feel free. I'm game for hanging in the woods anytime

That looks awesome! Just reading that and looking at the pictures helped me relax!

Cool beans! That's what it's all about. Glad you enjoyed. I got a lot of catching up to do compared to your Dart...lol

Thanks Charger 360!

Nice X2

Looks like great fun, good size to those fishes too!

You bet John! He pulled in a nice 20" Smallmouth Bass. Thing fought him like a bull. Got himself soaked in the process, but i'm sure he'll be remembering that fish for a while.

Looks like great fun Will. Did you sign on over at FABO yet? I'm over there as MoparMitch

Yeah Mitch, I've been over there. Seems like a pretty wound tight crowd over there. More laid back around these parts. Don't know if they got a Napoleon complex going on over there, but there sure is a lot of folks just itching to toss in a jab here in there. I mostly use it to surf parts. If I see you around I'll be sure to say hi. Hope your Dart project is going well.

Wow looks like a great time. He will definitely remember it and learned some invaluable skills in the process.

Hoping so amigo. Hunting season is his next hurdle... Go from the heat and skeeters to the cold and wet/frozen. May take a while, but i'll get him in the saddle.

Is it done yet, is it done yet, is it done yet! :tongue3:

Hehehehe....I wish! No go on completion, but I am happy to report the completed Roadrunner did a mighty fine job of handing a new Camaro SS its lunch on the way to the hardware store today. Guy had the nerve to tell me at the next stoplight that if he had his good tires i'd of been in big trouble. I just chuckled and said I hope those tires come with a couple hundred horsepower, because he's gonna need it.

Thanks Padre! Yeah, it's been hit the deck running this year. Better than sitting around I guess. Looking at the Dart in the garage getting nowhere is really starting to erk me. I'm sure once I get that match lit, i'll be swinging on the Dodge with both hands.

Thanks again fella's! Good to hear from you all. Wish I had better Mopar news for you, but glad you guys are all decent enough I can share some of the off the grid things going on in life. Means a lot.

glad to hear you're doin well, Will!

Thanks Chief! Living the dream man...lol

Hope all is well in Chi-Town as well. Let me know when you're headed up. I'll toss a few cold leinie's in the cooler for ya.

Hey Will, sorry i'm late to the party. Looks like you had a great time with the nephew. Is he the one that was doing the models? I see you making some good progress in the "sticks". Pretty soon, you'll be canoeing down the river with a grizzly bear and having your beer brought to you by an eagle.

Hehehehe...I'll be sure to make a vid if that happens Roger. Different Nephew though. I'm sure he'll be getting into cars soon enough though.

Hey Prop, looking good! I shed a small tear when I saw the plasma cut fenders. I thought I was so clever when I picked up the whole front clip at the local pick a part yard for $200. Oh well. I have this K member sitting here and I lost the address you wanted me to send it to, so please let me know and it will be on its way! It took me forever to find it, thats what happens when you move and cleverly pack all your crap nicely so that you will never find it again!

Dang fella's......Had to blow off all kinds of dust and cobweb's off this thread. Finally out working on the Dodge. Summer was spent dealing with my land up in the sticks, a couple bedliner jobs & just wrapped up a set of floor pans in a Chevy II. On to my car for a change.

First order of business is dealing with my rain roof. It's so holy it should be made a shrine or something..lol Anyways, I have a donor roof I picked up down in the holler in BFE Kentucky, from some nice folks. But first on to the glorious spot welds. Someone decided over the years to fill the drip rails with black Butyl caulk, and paint over it. So after several hours with a map gas torch, I got down to metal. The metal is pretty corroded where they had the caulk laid in real thick, so trying to find the spot welds was almost impossible. Good thing I have a Magic 8 Ball to tell me where to drill. hehehehehe.

Anyways, just pegging away at the never ending spot welds holding the roof skin on. Lead's all melted out at the C and A pillar's, sporadic stitch welds are ground out at the pillar's as well. Not too much longer and I should have it lifted off.

Ok Will....was hoping you would start back soon.
.I'm ready to watch the dust & metal fly!! I know its gonna be a regular thread now as your fall/winter weather has arrived.:sixpack::sixpack::sixpack::sixpack:

Wow, you really rolled up the ole sleeves and dug in ( like you always tell me ) . . . so you have yet another Propwash Planetarium ? ?

Can't wait to see you get back into this and see what magic you can perform on it . . . .

very cool thread to see here. I am a transplant from FABO and I deal with a lot of this type of car. A 68 coronet project brings me to FBBo but this thread makes me feel like I never left home.

judging by the dart emblem on the quarter I would guess this is a swinger special (LL23C1) if so that is even cooler.

I will enjoy watching this one

Good to see ya making progress on the Dart. Removing the roof definitely doesn't look like fun but I'm sure it will be a piece of cake for you with your mad Mopar whisperer skills haha.

Thanks a lot '62! Nothing too glorious about drilling out spot welds, but either way it's good to be back in the saddle! Looking forward to a productive fall/winter in the garage. Great to have you along!

Thanks Kahn! That's what it's all about amigo....Just get in there and do it, right? Kinda funny i'm dealing with a Southern Cali car and the first order of business is dealing with rust. Feel like the Tin Man sometimes.

Great to have you here Ranidart! Good eye on those quarter emblem holes. I'm really glad you brought that up and explained it. I had no clue what to think. I thought maybe someone either liked the 1970 look, or there was a VIN swap somewhere down the road. That didn't make much sense either because the body stampings, fender tag and VIN all match. So what's a "swinger special all about?" Factory color on the car is EV2 (hemi orange), which I though was pretty strange. Something to do with it? And you're right, LL23C1 is the beginning of my VIN.

Again, great to have you at FBBO. I have an account at FABO as well, but i'm so use to chumming around with the fella's over here, just didn't seem right hanging the thread over there.

Hey thanks man! Figured with all the massive surgeries you guys got rolling, I got to throw something on the table. LOL. It's great to be back at more busted knuckles, hands full of metal slivers and coughing up 40 some year old only god knows what.

Glad to see you rolling up your sleeves and diggin' into this, Will. So, when do we see pictures of the wife working on her car? Okay, it was just a thought.

Hehehehehe.....I tell you what Roger, that would be well worth a picture. This would probably be the look on my face:

All kidding aside. Little does she know, but she'll be the one helping remove the old roof skn here shortly.

Careful Prop . . . she'll be asking you to convert it into a convertible ! ! ! ( LMAO )

Glad to see you are back at it Will. That is a cool project. EV2? You are going back to that shade, aren't you? That with a black rump stripe would be pretty sharp.

Hey Will, I know this is off subject but did you ever get a time slip for Skellator?
