For many years now at big shows like Goodguys I walk right by all the tri-five chevys and Camaros, it makes it easier to spend time on the rest. There are always quite a few Mopars at those shows.
That's a good show. Still mostly gassers, camaros, mustangs, t-buckets and tri -fives. I saw over a thousand cars, only one wing car, one Super bee, and one GTX. Maybe a dozen beepers.
Beer and Mopars. A king and his castle, sounds like a plan. What part of the state are you from? I'm from Iowa FallsHi BeeKool, Next year I will buy you a cold beer & will have to take you on the mopar tour at good guys.

That's good. I can only make it 1 day. My ride prob won't be done by then. But I enjoy looking at other rides more than sitting by mine.Im in Panora, 45 miles west of DM.
I try to get there all 3 days , there is a group of us that park on the back side of the varied industries bld each year.
I do remember some really nice 66 and 67 Coronets. They have a nice look in and outThat's good. I can only make it 1 day. My ride prob won't be done by then. But I enjoy looking at other rides more than sitting by mine.

More than likely that guy doesn't own a car, or he's queer. Never had anybody "dis" my car, but of course there is some rivalry among car people around here. Most people in this area appreciate nice cars no matter what brand. And, thank you for your service.View attachment 359345 View attachment 359346 View attachment 359347 View attachment 359348 View attachment 359349 I stopped going to nearly all car shows with my rides. Too much Chevy and Ford snobbery going on. I even overheard one guy say as he passed my car "what's this doing here?". Most attendees just walked past both of my cars without even turning their heads to look. Not that I really care what others think about my rides, but are they so shallow that they couldn't even be bothered looking at the competition? Their loss.
I'll tell you what gets me at car shows more than anything else: Owners who don't know jack **** about their cars, because the extent of their ownership has been behind the wheel or behind a paycheck, but never held a wrench or made a decision in the car's evolution.
I don't hold that against them so much, as much as their type of conversation. There's not much past the point of "...yea, I like to drive my car too" and listening to their "my-car-is-better" baloney.
It's as if they show up not to show the car, but to use it as a tool to remind the community of their self-proclaimed perception of badassery (also known as being a jerk from the POV of everyone else).

? what are you trying to say?..........at car shows many are older, handicapped, men, women & spend a lot of time prepping their cars....also , not just judged show but participant voting shows, where your peers are the people that make the decision on the top cars.... it is just worth the time to see spectators looking & enjoying the classics.....
I used to build, wrench, & race my cars.....now I am at an age that I cannot do heavy work on my car....I still work 60 hours per week & I do best so I can get the best for MY car......I do what I can but need help & if I have to pay for it, so be it. ...I love the hobby.
Mopars at the Red Barns. Sounds like funHave missed most of the local shows this year. I ran down to Mopars at the Red Barns in Gilmore but unfortunately it rained most of the day. I have a bunch of friends around the mid-michigan area with Mopars so when we all go you can there will be 8-10 mopars for sure. I did run down to the Woodward Cruise on Friday evening (a few weeks back) for the first time this year. Amazing to see and cant' wait to cruise in it myself next year. Lots of Mopars like mmissile has mentioned down in the Detroit area. Some great examples at the Mopar exhibit though several were covered due to the threat of rain. When I finally get my car on the road, looking more and more like next year now, I'll be going to the local shows and hoping to setup a couple cruises with all my other Mopar buddies. I've had to wait 30 years to get my Mopar and I'm going to enjoy it as much as possible.
It's a great Mopar show. hundreds of cars and trucks, swap meet area, lots of Barns and buildings on the property with all kinds of historical vehicles. People come from all over the state and even IN and OH. plowman was asked to put his car on display for a month or so. I saw several cars that I've seen here on FBBO.Mopars at the Red Barns. Sounds like fun

That's sucks. Better luck next year. I wish I lived closer I would be there. It rained on my car for 6 hours this year. Not exactly a stellar day, after such a long drive and crap weather.
