DePouli's 1969 Charger 318

I've been goofing around most of the morning. Still have some very slow drips from the water system. Can't find any hoses leaking. Thinking it might be from the water pump. We will see.

The car has to go back to paint shop so I've been avoiding body related assembly as much as possible. I've also somewhat run out of other parts needed to go further in other areas but I have another order placed so I can be back in business next weekend.

I installed the spare tire carrier bolt.

And I will now drill the holes and install the gas pedal.

Ok I know I will need to take it back out for carpet, but I figured I'd neet it to start it soon...

Thanks for the help Justin.

For fun I took this the other day. Still have stuff to do before I can really put on the air cleaner.

What is it going back to the paint shop for?

Jeff
Well I have a lift in my garage at the house. It's a whole different perspective looking at the car above you than below you. The top 2/3's is gorgeous, the bottom 1/3 namely the rockers is not. There are a few other touch up points as well that upon a month of working on it I feel need a little more attention. That and it was too soft to wet sand and buff when I got it back so they need to finish that. Shop owner is a good man and is going to make it right so no worries, just changed my game plan a bit, but hopefully not much.

Decided to install some console atuff, mostly so I could stay warm inside

Don't have all the new console bits in hand just yet but there is about more I can do.

I had to trim a bit off the repro console carpet to get it to fit.

But got it glued up. This is my old stainless. I got repros coming as the other side is rusted (so maybe not actually stainless) but to get the console carpet set and glued what the heck...

Also hit the wiring harness on the front lights and got the other piece of my hood latch release back from the painter who decided to keep it for a bit longer that he really needed it, but he found it...

You'r still doing a great job, of course! I have my carpet kit for my center console and will be installing it soon. Did you use spray contact adhesive to glue it on?

Yes I used a 3M spray adhesive #77 multi purpose.

I adjusted the brakes today and the parking brake. I have a lot more pedal now. Still have to do some bleeding, but decent.

I also now have the car on the ground (and the '08 Super Bee in the air). Which doesn't mean much other than I can work on it during the week cause it is not in the air over another car.
