Will, great info on the headlights and the way you explained it step by step made it sound easier than it probably was. I know you had to put a lot of thought as far as where to mount the relays and wiring everything up. But the way you did it, I think I would be willing to try that setup for mine when the time comes. If I run into any problems, do you make house calls?

Kinda small, but it'll mash your eyeballs back in your head. I think you wanted somethin really streetable and that's certainly it. I think you'll like it.

is that profile similar to the 6 BBL cam?

That's what I was looking for RRR...Streetable yet still able to run decently down at the strip without being just another 13-14 second muscle car. I can watch those all day long at our local drag strip. I can say one thing, never again will I build a Street/strip car. It's gonna be one or the other. Too many parts out there that put you in one class or the other. Trying to find ones that meet in the middle and then work with everything else at the same time get's to be a pain. Thanks again for the help on other threads trying to get a decent one nailed down.

what intake / carb set up are you going to run propwash? 6 BBL?

Right. That's why I am building my Coronet like I am. I wanted something really unruly. 271 @ .050 solid flat tappet on a 108 with 4.56 gears and a 4500 converter. That oughtta do it.

I love the thread, read 28 or 30 pages last night and your recent lighting post and engine update today. thanks Propwash!

You Bet Roger.....As a fair notice, roadtrip usually require a mandatory grill out, with a few cold refreshments as well

I'd go with something like "2.2 cubic gallons"

:headbang:

That's hilarious Dave.....Hoods going to say "35.2 Cups"

Intake is a INDY Dual Plane...Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Still have a little port matching to do on it.

Thanks for reading the road runner resto book...lol Glad you enjoy it.

What you're gonna end up with is what I think the way Chrysler wouldda built it had they offered a 512 road runner. Mild but a real pavement peeler.

any kind of timeline for liftoff?

Well...that all depends. If the machine shop would stop dragging their feet and actually get moving on it, i'd say it would have been early spring. But being they're off writing poems under the plum tree or whatever, looking more like mid to late spring. We'll see I guess. Dropped the block off a half a month before thanksgiving. It's not like they're building the thing so I don't know what the deal is. Being this close and not having basically the only thing left is a bummer though. Wish my budget would have been have fallen into place a little better with the motor, but I guess it is what it is...all part of the game

Alright....Last revision to this. After taking in some more suggestions (which I appreciate), this is the 512 emblem I came up with to replicate the factory font for the hood call outs:

Factory:

Make it a go or no?

the 5 and the 2 just dont like like right.
maybe its the way it tails up at the end.

Took in some more tips...Heightened the numbers, squared of the two a bit more and made the gap larger on the bottom curve around of the two. Thanks again guys. Silly emblem, but just trying to get off the beaten path. Give someone something to see when they pull up to the front and it spells out what's making all the huffing and puffing out the back.

Sorry...actually meant below:

That's gettin close. If you can square off the left lower corner of the 2 a little more.......

..and I think maybe square off the upper right corner of the 2 just to see what it looks like.
