Family Tradition

A long way Will, Fantastic results. Congratulations on a great job!

Thanks a bunch fella's!

Its been a long road getting this far, but definitely worth it. As far as being married 68Chicken, it's a good thing the RR is out the door. Otherwise I might have been "unmarried" LOL. Actually the wife has been great about it. I'm a lucky guy.

As far as all the on my *** time Donny, next project will definitely be on a rotisserie. I guess it's nice to still be young/in shape enough to crawl around the car, but that boat isn't gonna float forever. Plus life sure would be a whole lot easier when restoring a car doesn't involve laying on cement.

So now that my summer has finally begun, took some R & R this weekend. Strange looking at an empty garage, but was nice to fire up the Weber, grill some brat's and hang out with the fam. Today, finally loaded up the kayak and tossed the rods in the truck....Dropped a few 20" Smallmouth bass in the cooler and kicked back with a few brews, enjoying the Wisconsin wilderness.

Tomorrow....I'll be at the body shop greasing the wheels and jumping back on the roadrunner.

Thanks again gent's!!

Well done brother! you certainly have my respect and admiration. Now I know where there is a nice '66 Charger project for sale, 383 4bbl and a 4spd!!!

can't wait to see your car back from the paint shop. those fish looked like they'd sit real good in a frying pan.

Appreciate it Matt! If it wasn't folks like yourself and many others on here I would have been quite a bit more leary about taking on a project of this magnitude. It's good to know a guy has back up when needed. :icon_mrgreen:

As far as the Charger......If the Roadrunner wasn't playing armageddon on the "dried creek bed" I call my wallet, I would be pretty apt on picking that up from ya.

Same here Roger! If you and yours ever make it up this way, we'll have to tip back a couple cold ones and have us a big fish fry!!

was thinking the same thing will.if the wife and i ever get the chance on one of my vacations and i get the RR up and road-worthy,you can expect a phone from me. is it ok if i call you at like 3 am and tell you i'll be there in about 2 hrs.:hello2::hello2:LOL.

Dude! Nice fish!!

Hey I can't wait to see your car come back from paint!!

Congrats on the great work Will, look forward to the next phase of pics.

LOL! I can't guarantee the whole household will be up to greet ya, but i'm sure i'll be in garage waiting for you to pull in. The wife would need a nuclear explosion to wake her up at that time.

I was pretty happy with the fish myself Dave. Found a real nice sweat spot for fishing not too far from here. Always end up reeling in some real slob smally's.

Congrats on the great work Will, look forward to the next phase of pics.

Thanks Robert!

great job will, and you stayed on target for your goal time. now if we could only organize a mopar only car show in this area.

Just checking to see what you've been doing with yourself since the Runners gone. Got that "honey do" list done yet?

Thanks Jason! They used to have one in Appleton at Dodge Country, but well....they don't exist anymore. House of Ryan in Green Bay use to have an all mopar show for years. I don't know if they're still running that or not. Either way i'm game for helping the wheels get turning on a all mopar show!

LOL! Yeah......."honey to do list" Bahhh!!! Been avoiding that like the plague. I honestly been kicking back a bit buddy. Spent a couple hours at the body shop tonight filing door edges. Pretty riveting stuff..LOL. Also picked up a 1/2 horsepower bench buffer. I'm gonna give polishing all my stainless trim a shot. No clue how to do it, but I guess i'm gonna jump in head first. Got some old junk trim to practice on..

I'll post some pic's of the stainless work. Well...that is if I don't completely destroy it.

will,if you polish your trim the way you've been doing the work on your car,i don't think you have to worry about destroying anything.

Thanks Roger! Appreciate it. Hoping for the best buddy...

I've been thinking of that myself and found this little diddy on youtube. You can't really see his results up close. I think I might try to do mine myself. I might have to pick up a wheel, might be worth the cost in savings. I was thinking that a dremel tool might work as well.

Thanks for the vid Daryn! Lotta good information there. Once I get back from being in the woods for the next several days, i'll be hitting up the brite work.

wow that only took a few hrs to catchup lol, i dont know what took me so long to join a mopar forum but im so happy i did. it was awsome watchin you take a typical midwest pice of swiss cheese and turn it back into a pice of metal and i cant wait to see the end result. :headbang:

This thread is the best thing ever happend to my car, whenever I feel like doing nothing I just spend some time here and I will soon get out to my car and start working!
Can´t wait until it is back from paint. Amazing work Will!

Wow nice work man!!!! I come on here once in a great while to see what you got done. I Have not been on here for awhile and was suprised to see that empty spot in the third car stall. Nice work man!!! Not to long and I will have to look out on the streets for that thing disturbing the peace.

Thanks Fella's... A bit nice having the empty stall for now. Sure getting in some summer R & R.. Tackling the Stainless this week.
