That's the way to do it! Take things little by little, and fix or work on whatever you may get an opportunity to fix - you will need it at some point!

Right now, it is bitterly cold in PA (at least by my wimpy standards - I am sure my northern brethren deal with much worse). Anyway, I am switching and trying to do indoor type work rather than freezing my butt off...

It's been up in the 60's the last few days here, but the clouds keep rolling in, so I don't really want to uncover the car and it start raining on me, I need to get some primer in the next few days and finish priming the roof, I sanded parts of it down a few months back, and never got a chance to finish sanding and priming it.

Yes keep the slots!!

Hey everyone its Josh. I worked on the car a bit today, finished sanding the roof and primed it, someone split soda or something all over the truck and threw dirt on it then drew on it with chalk, and some rust started, so need to sand it back down.

Josh,

Roof looks good! Just keep plugging away at it and before you know it, it will start taking shape!

So sorry to hear about your loss. You have my deepest condolences. The car is going to look beautiful. It's a long road...and at times, you'll want to throw in the towel. But, when you finish and look at that piece of art, you'll see your father in it. It's something that you can hold on to for the rest of your life and know that he's with you.

We're all here cheering you on. Like others have said, there's guys here with a wealth of knowledge. Pick their brain and learn. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We all learn something new everyday.

One step at a time bud, You will have not only the roof right but the more you get into this, the faster you'll see the work get done and know your doing a good thing, Anything any of us can help with don't hesitate man!

Thanks everyone, it has been two years since the car has been started on, and it's been a crazy two years, my dad never gave up hope on this car, and neither will I. It may take 10 more years, but it will get done. I will post here if I ever need any help!

post here even if you don't need help! keep us updated please!

Your dad was a good man...Spoke with him on and offline. You have a piece of him sitting in that driveway in the shape of a 40 some year old Plymouth. Excellent way to pay tribute to him, by bringing the car back. Like the other fella's mentioned, any help you need, don't hesitate to ask.

Hey everyone, this is Josh Ed's son. My dad passed away on the 19th, due to cancer and Pneumonia. I know he has became made some friends on this site, and a lot were looking forward to seeing the GTX done, but don't worry the car will be done eventually and I will keep this thread updated. Just because my dad has passed away, doesn't mean his dream has to go with him. I'm finishing the car for him. Here's some of the progress of the car, keep in mind not much has been done since his last post of the car. But mainly what has been done is the whole driver side of the car has been sanded down and re-primed. (gotta say the car don't look bad gray, a lot better than orange, black, brown and gray!) But anyways here's the pictures.
