Ok, so ran into a bunch of speed bumps, but I’m back on track.

I don’t know what I’m doing differently than everyone else, frankly I don’t care what I’m doing differently, the wilwood valves have the top 2 ports angle for some ridiculous reason. And for an even more ridiculous reason I couldn’t get any of the fittings in any port without stripping them.

So, to heck with it. I had this wilwood proportioning valve, plumbed it the front in the easiest way I could for the back brakes. Then for the front, I went under the mc and to a T fitting, then branched off.

Hey young blood - Just wanted to check in on your build thread and see how things were going with the X. Keep rolling….

Finally got everything done, I actually like the pedal feel better than power brakes, it’s soft enough but you can feel it. I drove it about a mile, the road I choice has a lot of dip so a lot of breaking, it felt firm and I was able to lock them up in a couple of panic stops
I did in an empty parking lot, there was too many people around and I didn’t feel too comfortable hanging around to see, but I think I got the bias right. Hopefully driving it more results in still satisfactory results

Sounds promising , brakes are sometimes a bit of a challenge but things will work out. Progress is progress.

These have been a bit of challenge for as long as the car had been on the road, and this is the biggest leap in the right direction I’ve had

This will give you some real mojo to work on other things on your list and all while knowing that you can really use the brakes to actually stop the car. Motivation is motivation.

Thats my philosophy, don’t get it right get it running. Phase 1 was getting it together for a car show and cruise in Vernon Texas several years ago. In that rush I overlooked some things, so that’s where the main part of this thread came in, making the big changes. Now that I’m happy, I have family just outside of Lubbock, they do an annual celebration and car show, so now the goal is the little things, and continuing improvements to get ready for that in September, as well as making the car a basically a daily driver.

Get your car out as much as you can, but set a big goal for the year and set a plan to achieve that goal

Today was just knocking something fun out, I know some of y’all will really get a kick out of this

My radio setup is a pyramid equalizer / booster, and I was running an rca 8 track player. I was hoping to use the fm converter and the am radio. The 1 speaker setup the am radio didn’t jive with the equalizer so I was just running an 8 track. But it would be nice to have a little variety, so I found a Sears and Roebuck radio 8 track player and finally got around to wiring it up. Now I can listen to the radio, which means I could potentially get a Bluetooth thing that transmits to radio. Or I can play 8 tracks, which means I can also put my cassette 8 track adapter in that I recently found, which also means I can put my cassette Bluetooth adapter in, so many activities now

Pic of the cassette/ Bluetooth?? I have the one with the cord but didn't know there was a BT

The kenwoods I had in it were blown out, so I put JBL’s in place, and other than one of the not fitting, it’s all better.
Also removed what was left of the package tray. Usually I find the cheapest thing or make something cheap. Dynamat has this, same price as a package tray, and easier than cutting something. So I’m going do something that’ll hopefully look cool with some faux leather wrap….just don’t have the idea locked in yet but it’ll be cool…hopefully

I’ve just been tinkering with some small stuff lately. Today though I did something big

The package tray in my car was destroyed, I mean it’s just glorified cardboard basically. And they do sell new ones that are still the generic cardboard look for $60 I think. Well I’m going for a 70s look with the car, and looking around I found out you can buy car interior vinyl on Amazon stertign
At $20 for a 53”x36”, hardware store has paneling for $25. So I can save money, and make something cool. Here it is, I wish Chrysler made the “speaker” holes the same direction, and I kinda messed up on the opening, but the speaker will cover it anyway

They’re new legendary panels I got for a steal at a swap meet……..but don’t temp me!

Door panels might stay factory, but the seats are probably going to get diamond tuck eventually, might even do them gold.
