Thought I'd start a mopar appreciation thread. This came to me earlier when I got the old girl out for a drive and to give her a wash and clean. Whilst driving back to my garage I stopped and parked the car up so I could run into the local store to go and grab some beers and on my way back to the car I just stopped and looked at her sat there and thought to myself "damn what a fantastic looking car" the light just shining of the purple paint, the stance at which she sat, the width, the length. Oh man I thought joyfully, that's my car. I guess sometimes I just forget just how lucky I am to be able to call her mine. Hence the title of this thread. Sorry if I sound obsessed or a tad wierd but sometimes one can get complacent and take these things for granted. I guess were all lucky to have these vehicles in our lives so if you don't already I'd like you all to just stop once in a while and realise just exactly what it is you have sitting in your garages, car ports and driveways and just how lucky we all really are.
Thanking you all. Adam.

if you look at your car at least twice as you walk away, your in love.....Yes I understand my brother.

Oh I understand that love. I go out to my garage everyday and the first thing I say is "Hello Beautiful". Right now my Coronet is tore apart and on a body jig and I still think it's the best looking car in the world.

No matter how much you love your car, just remember, humping the tailpipe is a big no-no.

LOL LOL LOL Damn RC can always rely on you to take a perfectly normal thread and knock it down a notch or 10. But no it's not got to that point yet but the day it does is the day I'll sell her and commit myself to the local loony bin. Besides I don't think the tailpipes wide enough LOL.

I feel the same way man haha. My car is still in a few pieces and admittedly pretty ugly with a few different colors of primer and bare metal, but I still find myself staring at it for a few minutes or thinking back on how lucky I got when I found it/ hauled its big dead @ss back up from California without any real issues lol.

I hear Mopars described pretty often as the read-headed stepchild of american muscle and I think that's part of why they're so special to all of us, they dare to be different. I'd start all over again with my rusty basketcase Charger before I'd ever take a finished show-car Camaro, Mustang, GTO, etc.

There are times I get more enjoyment knowing the car is safe in my garage than actually driving it :)

I do the same thing all the time. If I have my road runner parked outside & I run errands in another vehicle I always comment when I get a glimpse of my car ,"that is a F*&$ing cool looking car"!

After 26 years I still get excited when i look at it.

cant say it any better. do it all the time and mine is not even done yet. wife calls me weird, sorry just love my car!!!!!!!

well I don't make love to it but I do pat it on the *** now and then and whisper sweet nothings to her does that count :thinker:

The depressing part of this time of year is not being able to drive it and hiding it under a car cover in the garage to keep the dust off it. So far I have been able to resist pleasuring myself while looking at it unlike that weird show that was on TV a few years ago.

For me, it was love at first sight. Even though I wanted a 4 speed and she's an auto, I couldn't resist her wiles. Sort of like a woman, who has everything you want, except she's small in the top area. Well, now-a-days, you can get her a boob job. Oh yeah, I'm converting my baby to a 4 speed !!!!!!

I've been in love with 73/74 Road Runners for 41 years, which is longer than I've been in love with any woman. :)

I've said it many time before my girlfriend refers to my car as the other B_I_T_C_H, because I'm always under her, hence her/my RR, not the girlfriend's nickname... she ain't the "pertiest", she ain't the fastest, she's a little rough, not real refined either, built like a brick shithouse, but I love her none the less, the RR not the girlfriend, but that could apply to both... He he ha ha, weird I like my cars & women allot alike... sorry Honey, I'm a sick puppy, not as sick as RC/DH thou

Honey actually loves ridding in the B_I_T_C_H too

So much I go out to the garage and look at it and think what a lucky SOB I am several times a day :)

I am sorry for what I had told my wife over 41 years ago when we got married ,I told her I had her before and that would have after she was gone, mine was the first car I bought after getting home from VN ,I still have to this day ,and my poor wife has been fighting cancer for eleven years now god bless her

When you walk through the shop to; take out the trash, retrieve a hammer to hang a picture, grab a pair of channel locks to tighten a P-trap, take out the beer cans and wine bottles, get in the truck to go to work; and you run your hand over the car cover and give the car a pat while thinking... "hey buddy, spring is just a couple months away, sleep tight." I'd say that's a sign.... :)

Keeping things in perspective, I kiss DW goodbye every morning too when I leave for work..
