I don't think you can answer this hypoyhetical but...

...What will we look back upon in a couple of hundred years and regret? I don't think you can answer without getting the thread banned but it's interesting to think about.
Yup.

I have tried biting my tongue but this year will look bad when looked back on

Nobody now regrets what was done 200 years ago. It's ancient history for which we bear no responsibility.

In 200 years nobody is going to regret what is going on now.

The human being is the most dangerous, most destructive and most unpredictable animal on this planet. There is no guarantee there will be a civilized population in 200 years. Scientists are already looking for other planets to inhabit (invade) when we use this one up. The next 3 or 4 generations will have a monumental job fixing what we, as humans, have destroyed so far. Rest easy tonight we will probably have a tomorrow.

If all families worldwide limited themselves to 2 children, the problems would be solved. Pretty simple actually.

Many countries (Russia, China, U.S.A., about 60 in total) are currently well under 2.0 children, it is estimated that after 2050 the world's population will be decreasing.

It goes in cycles. We'd like to think we're cutting edge, but that will fall apart and something else will come up. It's an old history story.

Ironic really that the one guy in the world who could help solve that problem, and has an influence over approximately 20% on the population, is on his death-bed almost.

And he doesn't have any children of his own....but let's not make this political.
