Dosent anyone ever say thank you anymore...?
When some one posts a thread, asking for help, then a forum member posts a GREAT PIC w/ Tech directions...the initial poster should post a "Thank You..."

I see this so many times, it's pathetic.

I also see guys (newbies) will post:

WTB:"1969 Coronet or Superbee or clone...not a show car a project car."
And...there are 3 or 4 of them in the For Sale Forum under: "B-bodies for sale"

Seems SOME members do not do any research at all.

I'm off my soap box now...sorry.

hope this will make for all them a..holes

When I watch the news about people playing the "knockout game" nationwide (where they sucker punch a random person on the street to try to knock them out with one punch) and that four people have been killed from this, I don't know what to think. I am kind of like the befuddled sheriff in No Country For Old Men (Tommy Lee Jones) that does not understand what has happened to the world.

I guess I am just happy that nobody has punched me today. I know what you are saying, but the key to happiness in this day and age is low expectations.

Entitlement mentality of some {not all} of the youth mostly today, unfortunately from giving them all trophies for just participating in group stuff...

I agree & I don't expect much anymore out of my fellow man, especially certain types, the lazy rude & not wanting to do any work for themselves... I am from a different generation where you say hello, to someone when they pass you by & Thank You to someone for help, even if it's trivial... ok off my soap box now my $0.02 cents

I saw that. Anybody tries that on me had better knock me cold with the first one or they will be ventilated.:elmer:

:iamwithstupid: Yep, I agree with you Super-Bee_Ski. In my day it was just common courtesy to say "Thank you" when someone helped you, now a days that custom is almost forgotten.

I'm like paladin06, I always try to use the "Thanks" button when helped, but I'll now try to make it a point to say it personally as well.

As for not doing any research, I also agree with you on that. So many questions on here are repetitive and so simple that they could find the answer themselves with a little time spent "looking and/or reading up" on the issue. I always wonder why do people buy these cars, but don't buy the corresponding FSM for that car? The FSM is the "bible" for my cars, I couldn't/wouldn't do without them. Its no wonder there are so many totally screwed up Mopars out there on the market for sale now.

OK, passing the "soap box" back to you now. :laughing6:

The "thank you" Video is just great Snakeyes...!
Where do you find these things?

Furthermore, "who' creates these things?
(Inquiring minds want to know)

You are 100% correct on this one!

BTW, Thank you.

Just for the record, I don't need any thanks for assisting someone. I appreciate when they do say thank you, but it is by no means necessary for my ego to receive such gratitude. I fully understand most guys who post "need help" questions have a LOT more things going on than worrying about what Miss Manners would do. :)

So please read my response, grab a wrench, and go fix whatever was making a problem for you. :)

As for reading the For Sale section before posting wants, I never bother. I've spent too much time reading posts and sending queries to these ads and either never getting a response or getting a "oh, I sold that a while ago. I guess I need to take that off" response.

I think it's a lot easier to just post a request, and if someone has what I need and is eager to get rid of it, they'll let me know in short order. :)

I'm not a very trusting soul probably because of all the crap that happened to me in my younger years and so today, I'm always on the lookout for the aholes and scumbags that do that kind of stuff....I also never leave home without my ventilator. :D Just maybe I'll see one coming and can ward off getting knocked out before putting the ventilator into action.

Too shed a little light on the topic:

69Bee answered a post that was sent in yesterday.
His reply was terriffic!
He posted a GREAT diagram explaining the issue to the original "post"

I naturally clicked on the "thank you" button for 69Bee...
I also noticed the original "poster" did not reply after more than 24 hours...

It's not me looking for a thank you...
It's the fact that another "Great Team Member" went out of his way to help the original individual.
At least, give them a "thank you" click...

All I'lm saying is for those individuals to "CLICK" the Thank you button if you think a forum member helped you on a tech issue.

There's been times where I asked a question and got good replies but wasn't able to get back on the board right away to leave a thanks....

I looked up the post you are referring too, and I agree, 69Bee posted an excellent reply to the OP's question. He didn't have to go to all the trouble of scanning a page from his FSM and post it, BUT HE DID. Do people think all these diagram's are already magically present on every computer and all you have to do is copy and paste????

Oh, and this is a perfect example of what I was saying about owning a FSM for your OWN car.

Thank you B-ski, and 69Bee as well. :angel3:

some of the more regulars here I think it's kind of a given we are thankful for help or appreciate the thanks when getting them...

Well maybe some one who does this knock out punch thing will shoot back and that will bring it to a stop.

Nothing would make my day any better than to read or hear about that very thing happening to some punk AND his friends hanging around to watch and high five him
