If B-Bodies are so popular...then why....?

The real story is,,,,,,,,,Challengers were much more appealing than Barracudas in 70.' That is why more challengers were sold. They were Better looking, and had a bigger back seat than the Barracuda. However, most young families that wanted a sporty car had kids. The B body cars provided a better solution. More Chargers, Coronets, and Belvedere Two door hardtops were sold than the E body world could ever hope to muster. Now, supply and demand Influences the value, which has nothing to do with Quality, which was poor on E Body cars back then. Doors sagged, they rattled, rode poorly, and in the winter they sucked. I owned one then, I can tell you. They were good looking though!

My 68' Charger was by far a much better everyday car than the E Bodies. I liked the E Bodies, but I don't miss them.
I bought a new 2010 Challenger R/T, and I can say that was a well thought out car. I don't own that car any more, but I thought is was an overall well designed car.

Just an old guy ranting! Class of 70' USAF 1970-80

B bodies you can put 4 bodies in the trunk comfortably, where E bodies barely have enough room for a spare tire with the battery.
