I thought Id give an update -

I have Geico on all my current "regular" vehicles and they have been amazing to deal with. Heck they even came to my work and did the estimates for hail damage and cut me a check from the car.

But I have sent an application into Hagerty - with a stated value of 45000 on my Satellite. Waiting to hear back. Luckily single guy, no kids etc, so maybe I save a little money there. But I think the quote was 685 a year, definitely less than 700 a year.

I do have one question for them though I am going to have to call them on - at times my car will be stored in a storage unit, just want to insure that isnt an issue.

They just want to know when it moves to a different location. I update them every spring and fall when I bring it out/put it into storage for the winter. You can call them or do it by chat online.

Doesn’t sound unreasonable at all to me. Sure you might be able to save a few bucks elsewhere - but why when you”re going with one of the best. I have GEICO for my daily’s too - and I think they’re great as In’s Cos go - but would never use them or any of the regular auto insurers for a classic. No way. You’re going to be in good hands. And will have no problem with the storage issue. Just keep them in the loop.
