late model hemi into early b bodies

No cover on it yet, just a nice layer of dust. I broke the "no lifting anything over 5 pounds " rule today. y dad came over and we swapped sides with the car. Now I can get into the attic to put xmas stuff away...and get more parts down to put on the car. I'm surprised that I didn't get a headache later, maybe the eye is getting better.

I have gone from the beginning to the end on your string and love all you have done to this great car. I'm sure it will be one thing of beauty once you are done. I love those 1964 Polara 500’s

Thanks David, yours is pretty sweet lookin', I dig the Cragars.

The front end is now complete with the trim and DODGE letters on the hood. Now I gotta find the right looking h4 headlights to finish it off.

Rapid, you car **** lover!lol!!

kdtjb, it's out of a 64-65 c body, 300k. Thats the best I have been able to come up with. Essentially it's a 64-65 b body with an extention on the back, so if you take it off, you have a b body console. I'm using it to be different, and I think it looks cool.

Computers are in, left tail light assy. done except for the reverse lenses, need to get 2 to finish off both sides. Getting itchy to drop in the motor and trans and front suspension, tat would just about clear out the garage. Wiring harness for the eng/trans will go in tomorrow, along with the carpet. It's starting to get exciting!!!!

Rapid, I think we were cut from the same cloth when it comes to car ****! lol!!

Donny, cant wait to see it again in the sun, sitting in the garage doesn't do it justice...all the chrome trim will really set it off.

I went with the single stage acrylic enamel cause it most closely resembles the the factory paint done way back then, plus, my budget did not allow for the really good stuff that I wanted, so I can live with this. I figure a few coats of wax will protect it, and it wont be driven (on purpose) in bad weather, also parked in the garage with a car cover.

I had painted my Mach 1 with Acrylic Enamel back in 1979, waited 90 days and buffed it out. Everyone who saw it thought is was a Lacquar job ( no base clear back then) and the paint still looked awsome when I sold it in 1990.

Just scored a new headliner for 30 bones!! The cheapest I've seen was 75, so I think that it was a great deal. Carpet has been fighting me tooth and nail. So I broke out the razor blade and now seems to be cooperating....it's what I get for using a carpet kit meant for a 68 Charger, (it was free), no matter what, I was gonna have to do alot of trimming to get it to fit over the trans tunnel. Console carpet should be here anytime, it's going to look sharp.
