late model hemi into early b bodies

I'm leaning towards the Polara 500............but maybe once the side trim is on it will look different.

I like the Polara 500 myself, maybe if the 345 HEMI wasn't so tall, but the trim will go on later, so I got time to think about. The carpet I got for free, 68 Charger, will not conform to the pan no matter what I try, where I cut and how much I cuss my friggin' head off.
so I'm gonna order a molded carpet kit for it. I'm sure I'll have to cut the center to fit over the trans tunnel, but this way it fits the rest of the pan like it should.

zach try a heat gun it should soften the carpet up. thats what an auto upholsterer will use even on the correct molded carpet just be careful not to get it too hot.

maybe look for a smaaler hemi emblem for the scoop

Screw this carpet, it wont conform to the pan no matter what I try...heat gun, threating to set it on fire, cutting in strategic spots, begging/pleading, cursing, nothing!!! So new carpet is in order and will go from there. On a lighter note, console carpet showed up, down side is Legendary saw fit to short the nose of the console by by 2-21/2 inches, so I'll call tomorrow and see what they want to do. New 1 piece stainless brake line showed up, I'll bend it and install after I get off the phone with Legendary. Dash is almost completely done and wired, some purist may not like it that I moved the ignition to the right of the ashtray, but I needed the space for the ac/heat knobs between thw column cover and ashtray, I post some pics in the morning.

The dash, just waiting to install it so I can finish wiring everything. Notice the NOS button? Just kidding, it's for the electric speedo and it does all kinds of neat stuff.

Talked to Legendary today, they told me to send the console carpet back along with my original carpet and they will make new ones off those. Sounds good to me, tomorrow it will go out. New 1 piece brake line is done, better than the 2 piece line but not perfect but it will do. Got the trans ready to bolt to the engine, cant wait till Saturday, it's gettin' hotter!!!!

I can do that, just need some $$$$ to make sure the bills get paid, lol!! The console carpet and my originals are off the Legendary, I'm sure they'll get right this time. Trans is filled, converter on and getting the engine ready with new radiator hoses...I decided that the stainless flexible hoses were to "in your face" so went and got some ordinary black ones, Oriellys let me in the back to search all their hoses, very nice of them.

Heres some pics of the little elephant, paitently waiting to get stuffed in and make some noise. Oh, can you say air gap????

your getting there motors looking nic and clean... how much clearance you got on those tires? will they rub?

It looks as though it would rub, but I can get my fingers in all the way to my palm. The size is 275/60/15 on a 15x8 rim with 4in backspace. If need be in the future I could throw them on the cnc and take 1/8 to a 1/4 to get more backspace. Got to drive it first to see.
