late model hemi into early b bodies

Joe, I triple checked he brake lines for leaks and turned out the rear drums needed to be adjusted out more. I did that, and the pedal felt better, not great, but better. I got the car back on it own weight, started it up, back out of the driveway, tapped the brakes and I got change back. Those damn things are super touchy and stop RIGHT NOW!!!! I guess I got all the air out when I bled them the old style way, you know, pump pump pump, hold, loosen bleeder screw so on. I took one of the seats out of the attic, threw a pillow on it so my *** wouldn't hit the floor pan and went around the block. This car huals *** like a scalded cat on a hot tin roof. Even got sideways with a blip of the throttle. Picture this, I dont have the windshield or back glass in it, headliner flapping in the wind, and a grin on my face a mile long. My better half took a video of it in the driveway with her Iphone, I'll try to post it here.

Now that must have been a sight for sure. I need to figure out the video postings as well for future vids.

Did some mocking up of the ac hoses in the engine tonight. I'll finish the under dash hoses tomorrow night. Got to set the pinion snubber lower, it's against the floor just sitting there, anyone have a basic setting to start with?

They say to set it 1/2" off the floor. Personally I've never had very good luck with an adjustable pinion snubber and went back to the factory piece.

Dodge330, I'll try it, or set it so my sway bar is level, it's got some rake to it with the snubber all the way up.

Well gang, I've run into another problem. The tires are toooooo damn close to the lip, I can barely get my finger between the tire and lip. So I figure I have a few choices.
1. Machine the back of the rim a 1/4 inch
2. Roll the lip up and get more clearence
3. Get a smaller tire...265-60-15 instead of 275-60-15

Going to have the guy that painted my car take a look first to see if it's possible to roll the lip. My best option in my opinion is to machine the back of the rim....tire width looks awesome and with my little test drive around the block I'm gonna need all the traction I can get.

Not when it's the backside. I have 3/4 of an inch from where the lug nut touches to the back of the rim, so if I take up to a 1/4 off that leaves a half inch of solid material. Look at it this way, steel tims have just over a 1/8 to 3/16 where the lugs tighten against, so what would be left on my aluminum rim is actually still structually sound according to our engineer at work....got check things like this before you commit.

One other thought, I looked at the lip, and there is plenty of metal to roll, might take that route cause I'm so cheap and dont want to spend the money for dismount, remount, balance.

Not yet, I just got the sail panel board last Saturday and I'm going to Spring Fling this weekend, so I'll hit it next Saturday.

Well Spring Fling was fun and alot hotter than I expected. Scored some quarter window seals, rear bumper fillers, a package tray and a t-shirt. Got the rear bumper skim coated skim coated today, for the first round of blocking, it's not bad at all considering I had to take the BFH to it.

Mounted the rear bumper, fits real nice. Will high build primer and block it this weekend. Also going to finish installing the headliner if time allows.
