late model hemi into early b bodies

Yeah it was nice to see things coming along. A bunch of family members are asking when it'll be done cause they want to ride in it...hell I cant wait to drive it.

Just got in the reverse lenses and courtesy lenses. Found a place that will rechrome my bumpers for 550. I just might look into it since they are down the street from where I work.

That is a good price if the quality is there Zack.

Yeah Darius, my thoughts exactly. So just to see some of the work that they do, I'm gonna drop off a couple of parts. This will give me a better idea of what they actually can do.

Here is some updated pics...

The horns are in between the front splash shield and headlight bucket and they are louder than if they were in the engine bay. Console carpet kit is done and waiting to go back into the car. Finally got all seals for the splash shields so I will finish the undercoating on the fenders. Steering column has to come back out cause I ran the front harness wires under it instead of on top of it. Finally will finish the wiring tomorrow, gonna be a long day doing that and watching the hoodlums cause the better half has to work (hey, someone has to pay to finish this car, lol)!!

SHE LIVES!!!!!! Got it fired up today and everything was perfect, fans came on when they should, good oil pressure, 14 volts, temp just right, and sweet exhuast note. Every light works as it should, so now I can focus on finishing the interior. My buddy Mike put in over 30 hours of his time doing the wiring, about 99% is what he did, I did 1%. No one can twist in a lightbulb like me, lol!!! So now I can finish the 4 wires for the Vintage air myself, yes he left me instructions so I should be fine. If I can figure out how to post a video, I do it so everyone can hear the little elephant.

Took a small break from working on the car today, it has been raining here ALL NIGHT AND ALL DAY!!! I cleaned the garage up, meaning I got all my tools that were on the floor put away. But I did manage to mask off the inner fender and get some undercoating on the inside of the fender, looks great, smells bad according to the better half. I got a local upholstery shop willing to do my back seat and put on the seat covers for the buckets, but he wants to see them first so he can give a quote, thats sounds fair.

That's great news, I can't wait to get mine running. Let's hear it........

Tin, I dont know how to post a video and thats whats stopping me. Heard a squeal this evening and narrowed it down to the steering pump pulley. A green scotch brite pad for a few seconds and it was gone. Since I had to play daddy daycare today, my little girl (2) got to play in the car (asked what EVERYTHING was) and I finished all the under carriage detailing, undercoating, painting and getting rid of the cobwebs, it was fun.

Sorry about that, been swamped at work, and wife is working so much she's in bed by 8ish and gone by 4ish, so I have the hoodlums in the evening. My other buddy Robert came over today and we got the headliner pad in, headliner up but stopped at that point cause I wasnt sure how big to make the sail panel boards (gonna order new ones). Battery is mounted, trunk mat in, undercoating almost finished on the wheel wells, dome light besels shined up and painted, passenger side door lock installed.....need to rebuild the door hinges, that door does not want to cooperate, hanging down just too far to close nicely.

Bucket seats dropped off at the uphoslter, 3-4 weeks they will be done. Then dropp off the rear seat and so on. I'll get some pics of the headliner posted as soon as I can.

Joe, no pics yet. I ran into a problem with the panel board for making the sail panels. Mainly I did not know how tall they are supposed to be, so I checked classic industries, seems everything I wanted to order to get the 20% off was to be back ordered, screw that, if parts aren't in stock, I'll look elsewhere. So I got on legendary's site and found some for a 65 coronet, same body style as mine so I called them. The guy on the other end said they dont have anything for my car, no biggie, but a 65 coronet they do, so I ordered those and it'll be about 2 weeks before I have them. So the headliner is hanging around, lol. This evening I managed to get the tires on, console in, and trans is almost adjusted to the shifter. I'm gonna bolt in a seat, fire it up and back it out tomorrow under it's own power. Got to adjust the passenger door with the weight on the wheels, not closing as easy as the drivers side. Also hood wont shut right, so I have to get it on the wheels. Thats what I've been up to, also cleaned up the wiring under the car, nothing glamorus.

Moving under it's own power sounds exciting. I haven't done that with mine yet but it's getting closer. Good Luck!

It took my dad and I over 3 hours to figure out that the factory shifter and the trans selector were way off from one another. No matter how we adjusted the cable, it wouldnt go into all the gears. Then my dad looked at the shifter and figured out that I needed more travel, so I attached the cable up higher and bingo, every gear every time. So I put it in drive and the tires turn forward, then reverse, neutral, park, low, and it was awesome to see them move under its own power.
I finished up late this afternoon, so I didn't get a chance to put it on the ground d back out of the garage. That a good thing cause the brakes SUCK!!!! I'm do them one more time, and I even bought a Phoenix Bleeder (pushes fluid up into the mc) and te pedal feels like jello. I gt them sorted out, but it's really pissing me off, hell, I bet I've put 3 quarts of brake fluid thru the lines and still a crappy pedal.

Hey Zack let me know how you make out with your brakes cause I'm having the same problems. Bled the heck out of the lines and still soft pedal. Bled the m/c and still soft pedal.

Neighbor suggested either taking the m/c back off and bench bleeding it or the Phoenix Bleeder. Please let me know how you make out. Thanks.
