late model hemi into early b bodies

Headlights almost finished. The aftermarket lights go to deep into the bucket of the fender so i dont have any adjustment for the lights. To fix this, Im going to space the headlight buckets out a 1/4 inch, this will alow the plug to fit and have adjustment of the lights. I should finish this tonight after the hoodlums and better half go to bed.

Yeah, they are way too young for the "thug" name, just got to give'em time, lol!!

Tin, whatcha talking about??

Gotcha, I will be more diligent posting what I've been doing, along with pics., lol!

Got the drivers door striker and latch on, door opens and closes nicely...still have to do the passenger side, got some new to me door locks and key, waiting on door locks gaskets to finish the doors. Legendary came thru in flying colors with the console carpet kit, so Ill get that done this week sometime, also nos console besels are on the way to finish it off. Wiring will be finished this weekend come hell or high water.

I'm going to try and redo the seat covers myself, that should be alot of fun. The headliner is going in next weekend, my buddy is going to help since he has done this before and been around since rocks were lava, lol!!

Horns are almost finished mounted. I have them between the front splash shield headlight bucket, cleaned up the front where they are supposed to go, (catch can took up that space anyway).

With any luck, I might just get to fire it this weekend. Pics will follow as soon as I can find the camera (the better half put it in her closet and I'll be damned if I cant find it).lol!!

That's all! Just kidding, sounds like great progress. What did you do for trans cooler lines?

So far that's it in a nutshell, lol! The lines are factory for about 8 inches or so, the flared for -6an fittings, aeroquip hose from there to the cooler in the radiator.

Wow, 85% of the wiring is done, dash and gauges and vintage air is all that is left to do. Brakes bled one more time, gonna need to do it again, getting tired of doing brakes already. Console carpet kit showed up from Legendary, they got 99% of it right on the money, but where the 2 halves come together at the front, mine has a "triangle", how the hell did they get that wrong??????? So I cut a small piece of left over carpet and fill the gap in, hopefully the ac dvent wiil block most of it so it cant be seen.

I'm beat, and I still have way too much to do this weekend, guess I'll sleep when I'm dead!!

Nice..... I'm not even at the beginning stages yet..LOL
Your getting there !

thats what i like to here

Just 8 more wires to hook up and I'm done with the wiring (including the vintage air). Had to make another line from the mc to the adjustable proportioning valve, this time I gave myself some room for "stretch", so now there isn't any leaks and gotta bleed them 1 more time.

Headliner is going in Saturday along with the battery, trunk mat, and door locks. The ac hoses are gonna get crimped friday so might find time to get those in as well. Ducting should follow the hoses under the dash, again if time permits.

Hey Zack, I just put up a couple pic's of that structual dust cover I bought off you, I know you were interested in how it worked out.

Gonna check it out.

A couple of buddies came over today. We hung the front bumper, and got more wiring done. We used some of the factory connecters to complete the wiring for the console and wiper. So far the car hasn't burnt down, so thats a plus. The bumper actually fit pretty damn good being fiberglass. Just some late night tweaking on the mounts and it looks good. I will have to take it off to repaint it, got some undercoating on it and used the wrong stuff to try and get it off, screwed up the clearcoat some, no biggie. One door is finished with new to me locks, managed to do it right the first time, now on to the passenger side. Interior lights work with the door opening and the light switch. Headliner was going to go in, but the sail panel board wasn't available locally, so I'll get that from classic industries (new catalog is sweet).

My buddy thats doing 97% of the wiring sure knows his stuff. I cant thank him enough for spending time doing the wiring, but as he says, beats staying at home with the wife..lol!! Next is taking the rear bumper to work, knock out some dings and shoot it, thats if I can find some time to get it out of the shed.
