With such a tight area for the dip stick, I put on my Lokar flexible dip stick.

I did the same thing. Lokar and don't look back.

Anyone using a Chinese dip stick gets a little bonus - while attempting to bend mine into shape, I noticed the cheap chrome flaking off on outside... and the INSIDE of the tube. I then ran the stick between my fingers so it bent a little ... same thing, all the chrome flaked off onto my garage floor. i mean all of it.
