my 70 barn find

holy crap you guys are killing me...LMAO...where do i start, KINESIS are a $1000 a wheel, they are out, even know they are very cool, did keystones on my camaro and dont know how they would look on my car. i also like no. 1 but they are over $500 a wheel. not ruling them out but i found these also in the mix. i got time because so far no one wants my 15" wheels an tires. so far 17x7 245/45/17 front and 18x9 or 9.5 275/40/18 out back..

That would be my new #1 of the options you are looking at

Try this wheel visualizer, if you haven't already. You can change your ride height and color, hopefully they have the wheels your considering.

Choosing wheels is a tough one, good luck.

American Racing makes a Salt Flat Special like #1 that is around $350-$390 ea. I would just advise looking at pics of cars with the wheels already on them because there were several that I liked until I saw them on a car. I went with wheelsforless, they came highly recommended by the manufacture of mine and have good prices. Good luck

thanks 747, i ran into that also. find a sweet looking rim an it looks like crap on the car. i dont want to mess this up.

Glad you enjoy. I always enjoy when these resto threads come to the "Wheels" question. Gives me a great opportunity to see all kinds of wheels available out there. Mine was the same. Good luck with your decision.

ok wheel debate is over. these will be it.....275/40/18x9.5 rear 245/45/17x8 front

Wow, that sure was quick haha. I'll be looking forward to seeing those on your car because I had looked at those as well, very nice and I like the grey centers.

Im sure you'll be happy with them, When it takes as long as it does to pick a set you like (second to paint color), its a 99% chance you'll be pleased! :)

Nice choice! Can't wait to see them on! Do you know what kind of rubber you're going to wrap them in yet?

i was thinking the nitto 555 or the bfg g1 the tread pattern on both i like. got to head down sat to the shop and got to work on the hotrod again, wasnt breaking any speed records but we managed to get the 6 speed in and it looks SEXY. still have to finish the trans crossmember and calculate enough opening for the 3" exhaust. we worked on it all day an i got tired so i cleaned up an got home. then i remembered i took no pics...STUPID...will have them the next time i go down.

That's cool man .. take all the time you need you'll be the one living with the choice and really all of them are choice contenders

Those are right up my allie, by far my favorites so far but then again that is the style I was going after so I guess I should like them. Looks allot like the 427 Cobra wheels but different enough to not be, I really like them. I'll be curious to hear who makes them, what sizes are available and the cost.

Are you sure you want to go 17's on the front and 18's on the rear? I would go 18's on the front and 19's on the rear. 17's and 18's still leave room for an extra inch...

I like the wheel you're buddy send...

My personal favorite is the TSW Valencia wheel:

Picking a wheel to live with a few years is no easy task bud, Your buddy's look pretty cool and like tallhair says, "take all the time you need you'll be the one living with the choice".. And thats the truth! :)

Now it is over for sure, cause the wheels and tires are ordered. Went a little bigger than what i wanted. But i love these wheels. 18x8.5 in front 18x9.5 rear....245/45/18 front 275/40/18 rear. Oh yeah i did not get the spinner. Got regular cap.:beavisnbutthead:
