Edit.. Maybe one change if I would be so bold... since the way I always spell it here is FER RACIN'

Thats some serious progress you got there, love the look of that rear-end sitting in there with it and the springs all painted up! Keep it up and you'll soon be racing down the high way man!!

Phenomenal all the way around man. Glad the Chemo is working too!! Can't wait to see this thing on the road with all those goodies under the hood.

just to let you know wiringing is not fun. we got battery and and the all the hot hook ups to try and start it. we have not hooked up the fuel pump yet. but when we went to start it you can hear the starter click to engage and turn the motor about a inch and then nothing.:angry4::banghead: you can turn the motor over by hand. didnt know if the computer didnt read fuel pressure that it would just shut down. im not sure , might have the starter checked out. got the led tail lights in and got the temporary dash marked out for the gauges. got the ground straps on also. hope to get more done soon, and i will get some more pics of the progress.:beavisnbutthead:

Sounds iike a bad battery only engaging and then stopping like that, or a bad connection,i would check battery first... If you have a multi meter, check what the positive side of the coil reads when the key is engaged to start it.. should be 12 volts, when you leave the key off but still in the run position its about 7.4 volts, Thats where your ballast resister comes in being it controls the voltage when you start and run it...

Where's your battery mounted and where do you have your ground fastened? Didn't know if you trunk mounted it or not but if so did you get a good ground to the block? Battery to block, block to body is what you want and if mounting it in the trunk it's a good idea to run the ground all the way to the block instead of the body (steel is only about 20% as conductive as copper if that). Good luck

battery is in the trunk, got the ground battery to frame rail. got two ground straps from block to frame. i will get a run of wire now to battery to block next. thanks 747 and ron73.

Mine is only grounded to the frame too for now and does fine so you should be fine there. I will eventually get around to running it all the way to the motor but so far so good. Your probably correct about the starter but you could put a voltmeter on it while someone hits the key and see how much the voltage drops. Good luck
