my 70 barn find

Went to Dubuque, is Sunday an entered the scowl in diamond in the rough an took first place. I was surprised that so many people liked it. It made me feel pretty good. The car ran good. 6th gear gotta be going 75. The motor not even working. I haven't unleashed it yet but I laid into pretty good ripping thru the first four gears. The Hemi pulls hard in second an third. Got into fourth going 110mph still had more in fourth an two more gears to go. Needless to say we had fun sat an sun. It still gets sideways if your not carefully. Another video is coming soon we got rain next six days. Trying to get fuel gauge calibrated an need to get tach working right. Right now I'm floating on cloud nine driving my car.

USARoadRunner . . . got it out on the road and took your first trophy ! ! ! I can see the smile from here in NC ! ! !

WAY TO GO ! ! ! Love it . . . now I can't wait to get mine on the road ( it's still only a 5.7, not a 6.1 . . . but I'll sure enjoy driving it ! ! ) . . .

Kickass!!!!!!! Sounds like somebody is having a ball and it doesn't surprise me at all that you won with that thing looking the way it does. Congrats USA

Saw your car there but missed ya. Good lookin project. There were some nice cars there, wish the swap meet had been bigger/better. Congrats!

Man, It doesn't get any cooler then this!, The first of many ill wager bud.... Enjoy the rush!

Holy smokes guys. I'm having too much fun with this. I'm going to get in serious trouble with this car. I'm in love. Had some medical things to deal with and all came back good news an going back to work soon. The SCOWL is running good except after this test run I got a header leak. Does anyone know what the best header gaskets are. Here is a pic of how she is running. Lol. Didn't hold it there just a quick burst. The disturbing effect is it still had more in it. MOPAR PERFOMANCE BABY.

Holy smokes USA that is flat out hauling!!!!! I don't know that I'll ever have mine cranked up to 150mph and I really hope you didn't take that pic at that speed but if so you have some big balls bud haha. Glad your having a ball

I was on a clear interstate. And only hit it for about 3 seconds an backed it off. It handles great. The suspension front an rear worth every penny. Gonna get to take it around a road course track in rock ton, Il. At the end of October. Gonna have the wife take some pics. Can't run it to hard cause I don't have all the safety stuff. It will still be fun. I got about 800 miles on it. This 6.1 runs awesome. Can't imagine what that hellcat motor would do. I love speed but it was getting pretty wild that's why we backed her off.

AWESOME is all I can say. had a 318 in one of my chargers that I had up to 105 but it took me awhile to get there. I can only imagine what it felt like to hit 150 in the blink of an eye.

Fantastic! I know the first time I got my Road Runner out on the road I had a shitty grin on my face for a week!!! Of course, now I tore the whole thing down again, but that's another story... ...guess I'll get to relive the shitty grin thing!!!

Your car sounds awesome. Also, I am usually a guy who prefers the 15" wheels on these old cars, but your rims and tire combination looks great. Congrats on the build so far. Have fun!

You will Hawk, re-live it, reading and watching your rebuild im sure is going to bring back that grin when your done! These 70's was always my wife's favorite, i do hope to own one again! And i have to say USA this is a awesome project you are doing! something tells me there will be two, at least two for now with those grins!!! lol

Haven't been around here much so catching up but in answer to your header leak question I had an issue too and was put onto Remflex gaskets... nice and thick Graphite compound fixed me up in a hurry!

Thats pretty fast on the street....any more and its slap the cuffs on instead of the alternative. I have had mine up to 118 as the tops so far but on stock suspension on back country roads....thats about all the more I dare.

Glad you are enjoying it!

Boy I'm starting to feel like a pussy around here, I've only had mine up to 90 mph but mostly because of the 3:55s. I'm sure whenever I finally get my overdrive or get my 3:23s swapped in that might change but to be honest I really just like going from 0-80 really fast.
