My charger restoration dream car

Not all cars came with one.......How to tell is if your car got the accessory light package. If you had a map light and glove box light than you probably had this option....

All that stuff can be added to your existing harness if you want and you have the pigtail for that already. The map light and glove box light will require another small harness to be added....

If I am not mistaken ignition switch light unit is different from a 68 and 69.....
Thanks, I'm still learning. My car didn't come with a dash.

I got a used dash frame and it was from a 69.

I am trying to figure how it all goes together. I do have most of it done. It does have a map light and I would like a glove box light. I did get a new electrical harness that will work for all of it.

If you need that accessory harness I may have one....easy way to tell the wires are pink....

Thank you, That would be great. I will look to see what I have. I usually can figure out mechanical things but this sparky stuff confuses me.

There is smoke in every electrical component, the trick is not to make it appear!

I don't have any pictures of mine and I don't think I ever pulled it from the dash so I don't have an answer. The snout on the 68 looks shorter than the 69

If you do, I have a few of these I could let you have...

I sent my radio to Wards classic radio to have them rebuild and upgraded and it just came back. It now has FM conversion, upgraded output, and auxiliary plugs. I haven't tested it yet but it looks good and I'm sure that it will work great.
Radio before sending.

Can't wait to try mine out too. Sent mine there also. If I remember right they put the fuse right up next to the radio. I was going to extend mine down to where I could get to it easier if I needed to.

I like that idea. Thanks!

My friend....Hope everything is ok with you? Have not seen you in awhile....

Wow, I like the radio fm mod/refurb. I have the old am that came in mine, might consider that later. Where did you get it done?

I heard from Showard the other day. He has had something in his life that interrupted his car, but he is alive & well.

Just got done going thru this amazing thread off & on all day. I wish him well and hope it's nothing serious. Prayers sent!

WOW! Everyone has been busy. It will take me some time to catch up on all of your progress.
I decided to take a minuet to check this site. A lot has been happening.
This has been a wild and crazy summer. This has been the longest that I have not worked on my car since I got her. I hope to slow down and get a little more organized soon.
Sorry that I haven't checked in and updated everyone on how things are going. I appreciate everyone's concerns and thoughts. They are always welcome.
Summer update: I am a school teacher and you would think since I get summers off I would have more time. I also find that the community also thinks I have more time and so I end up helping with scout camps, youth camps, and girls camps. We also had several family reunions. In June I took my wife, for our 30 year anniversary, to Guatemala for a couple week vacation. We had a great time and got to see beautiful places.
I am also a general contractor (to help keep up my teaching habit) and build houses for clients and have been busy with that.
My middle daughter is getting married next week and I have been busy building things from a long list of honey do's for the reception that we will hold in our back yard. I also caught the CM Virus. Because of my low immune system from my kidney transplant, it hit hard and has been a long process getting to feel better but I am doing better now. That was just very inconvenient and frustrating.

To top it all off, deer hunt has started and my kids have been asking me to take them. Of coarse I have to support my kids. We went out last weekend and my son got a buck with his bow.
I have been back to school for a couple weeks now and should be getting things together soon.
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has been doing.

DEER SEASON!!!!!!!! Just got my first tag, but season doesn't open for another month.:elmer:

Welcome back.
