Name something that you never should have bought.

Bought a 14' rolling ladder to wash windows on top of my sun room. $1300 used it 6 times over 6 years and sold it for $600 after ebay fees.

A pair of Seadoos. They would've been great if I had a cottage with water. Got boring real quick.

2013 Mustang Convertible. Bought it brand new in an auction. Got it for the opening bid amount. My thought was to buy low, sell it quick for a couple more grand. Didn't happen. Buyers remorse BIG TIME!

Bought my wife a used but really nice and low mileage 95 Intrepid ES back around 97 that turned out to be a turd. Sold it and my really nice 1990 3/4 ton fully loaded Club Cab LE pickup and put the money on a 2000 Durango in Oct of 99. Got right at 15k for both the pickup and the Intrudid. The Durango turned out to get a great car and stood up the the abuse of the X's driving habits but after buying the Durango, I decided she wasn't getting anymore new cars. Man, she hammered them!

And haven't been in the air since 98?
2005 or 6 is the last time I took them for a rip. Ran them up a few times a year until our Daughter was diagnosed in 2010 and didn't have the time anymore. Everyone's allowed one bad decision / lifetime. LOL I'll get'm apart and on Barnstormers for sale "some day" !

The funny responses are wedding ring, engagement ring..,
I don’t have a lot of regrets that affected me long term.
I’ve bought food that gave me trouble.
I’ve bought cheap booze that made me sick.
I don’t regret any car or truck that I bought.
I’ve only owned two houses and those have worked out well.
I hate only bought a few extended warranties and have done well there. No time shares. I buy quality tools. I’m wracking my biggie trying to think of a regretful purchase..,.

Marriage Insurance.
The first one was a wreck so they got me another, that was a lemon so they replaced it, swapped it with a compact model and it rode so rough I made them trade that one also. Figured I would try an African Import model because they had such good reviews. Bullshit! So quiet I didn't know if she was "coming or going". Ended up going. I am studying the clauses in small print before I make the next claim.

A recent costly disaster...

I decided to get a water well drilled. Did a month or two of research getting 3 quotes, all of them were $70/ft (ended up digging to 120' to find low volume water). Talked to a neighbor about 1/4 mile away that had a well drilled recently and they got lots of water at 40ft. Cost of pump, piping, digging, electrical, sensors and labour was around $5000. Had the water tested after drilling and found water treatment was around $4200. Total cost was ~ $17k.

After final hook up, pumped 3000 gallons into my cistern to find out it turned into a salt well. WTF! The initial water sample wasn't salty as initial TDS reading was around 260. After the cistern fill it was 3800. No explanations. Any well driller won't guarantee water or water quality. The driller offered to take back the pump, all the sensors and to dig another hole for free next season as he's booked for the rest of the year. The water treatment company took back and refunded half the equipment. I wanted to keep the other half.

Total kick in the nuts...$12,000.

78 VW Dasher. New. Biggest POS German ever made. No power, no headroom and on and on.
Paid too much too. Think around 7k.
