Nz 70 rr

A mirror like shine, you cant wish for more, i bet the excitement is growing strong lol, I get all talkative when i get a big job done and drive my wife crazy with the talking about these old cars, oh well, im glad she can get excited some herself, enjoy bud!!! Looks great!

Thanks Ron, I really want to put the panels on to see how she looks complete but will wait . So many other parts to assemble first, don't know where to start sometimes.
Your project is looking great too, shame winter is coming. The cold shed doesn't always inspire.

Thanks bud but i have my ceiling insulated and this fall got vinyl siding on it, I can keep it in shirt temps in there though with my turbo heater and a large kero heater to keep the turbo from being on as much, the siding i don't think will change anything but makes me think its more like a real garage lol....

You've done a massive amount of work in such a short time NZ, you must be proud. You certainly show me up in your organisation skills. I tend to paint the bits and pieces up as I need them. But my excuse is that I've got bugger all room to do all at once, and I'm sticking to that. LOL

Giday mate, once I start something I find it hard to stop, must be my "boom or bust" attitude. Yes am proud of what I have managed to do so far, surprise myself often. Must post a photo of my shed/carport and you will see the mess I work around. I have been doing the clean /paint as i need lately also. Want to put the master cylinder in but its not painted yet. Have got the rear brakes in, shocks in , pedals in.

Sounds like you are fully prepared there Ron. Just saw the TV news tonight and the big snow and low temps the USA is getting.

Looking very good, I'm at about the same place in the build as you. Great to see color on your new ride!

Thanks for the comments fellars. Reassemble is addictive.

Dragged the A833 and bell housing out and gave them a dame good clean, now looks presentable to reinstall. Thrust bearing may need to be replaced so that will slow me down damm it.
Rang Jeff at 521 Restorations to order trim clips back and front, also got couple of other small things, fantastic guy to deal with, gave me a great deal and sent my parcel via USPS as wanted.

super job tony, did you remember to replace your wiper arm pivot gaskets they are a cause for leaks.

Wow that looks good, you must be one happy builder seeing it go back together. I can't wait till mine is there. Should the accelerator pedal go in before the carpet? Mine never had carpet when I got it but there was a piece of the carpet under the pedal.

Thanks for the heads-up moparjohnny will do that tomorrow.

My keenness to put the car together gets the better of me Bigblock61. Car had no carpet and I have not purchase one but plan to put some type on black carpet in. Will redo the pedal then.

Master cylinder and brake lines nearly there.

Major step with the Vinyl top going on today. Called in the same pro who did my challenger and he did another fantastic job. Hope to get some trim on tomorrow.

Your car is really looking sharp. The vinyl top really adds a touch of class to it imo. You are right about Jeff being a stand up guy. Wouldn't it be great if all vendors would be as accommodating and honest as him?

Xmas rush

Trans painted, Engine primed and awaiting paint.

Have been repairing my dashpad. V-ed out the broken sections, filled with Expandable foam out of a can, cut and sanded smooth. Decided to cover this with a 1mm bit of hard plastic to firm it up, glued it down and feathered its edge. Today I glued on the vinyl with an excellent result. Time will tell if it holds up to the sun, if not will get a repo one from the USA.

My window clips arrived from 521 Resto, quick great service, so have got front ones on.

Made a replacement hood bow.

Excellent job on the dash pad Tony. Looks real good. Well done on the bow too. :eusa_clap:

As always, nice work NZ. You did an excellent job on that dash pad! Be it most cars going for resto have a dash pad that looks like a dried up river bed, I'm sure a lot of guys would wonder how you did it.

Your top and the dash look fantastic! The work your doing to this is outstanding, i would love to grab that 4-speed, mine needs rebuilt :( but a long way from really needing it lol, I hope i can smile when i do need it :) And im sure of that.. Keep up the great work, you'll have some neighbors that's going to be a bit envious with that one!!!
