Nice 72 Bird 72redbird

Thanks to all of you sharing your track secrets, and not so secrets!
That 72 Redbird is awesome!
Those cars look like fighter jets to me...
I am going to go back and try wade through all the info posted by all of you!
I don't want to say I'm surprised... But the friendliness here, and the help & suggestions, remind me of what fun I used to have at shows & races!
You all just may renew my faith in humanity!
I forgot to mention some things...I will go see if I can add to my last post.
Happy Monday!

Pretty good numbers. What was your 60 ft.? I think the ET should be a little better with that mph.

1.78.

I tried launching at a little higher rpm instead of off idle and it spun to a 12.04. :(

Tires were at 20 psi. I can go down to 14 psi so that will be the next change. Probably bump the timing a little too..

Very nice first outing with that cool 63 ! Ron

A little update.

The car ran 11.30 flat at 119 mph today.

This is leaving just off idle as it blew the tires off loading the converter at all.

Only the 2nd time out and picked up quite a bit!

Nice new low 330, with a 3.55:1 gear too IIRC

congrats, keep it up or "go low" is what I should say

Congrats on that great pass. What size tires are you running in the rear ? Ron

How tall are the 275/60/15's on your car ? Ron
