ferrell gas and went with a local guy tooWas your supplier Amerigas by any chance? I had a similar experince with them and went with a local independant guy,
In Alabama if you run out of propane, by law the propane company is to relight any pilot lights and check for any leaks. The company I use refills more often than necessary, but it costs the same amount anyway so I don't care.If you smell Mercaptan, you may have a leak. I'd definately check all your lines and equipment before restarting anything.
Here is a propane ticket for almost 4 weeks at the mansion I manage. They last filled it right before Thanksgiving but there supposed to be there every 2 weeks. Twin 1,000 gallon tanks so each tank had about 80 gallons left… To close for comfort as it was getting colder so they got reamed for not showing up on time. It was not really even that cold it’s just a huge place over 11,000 square feet and very old…They fill up propane tanks to 75-80% which is at least 400 gallons. Thats a lot of propane to go through in only three weeks!
holy fluck I'm in at 1.80 a gallon, they must have some seriously deep pockets with that amount of fuelHere is a propane ticket for almost 4 weeks at the mansion I manage. Yes very wealthy. Nice people to work for been there since I was 14 so 40 years. They had a large estate in New York in Adirondacks and a huge home in St John. Funny thing is they stayed in St. John every winter for 3-4 months and heated the house like they were living there so I have actually seen $5,000 propane bills for a month when it was priced higher and colder. Sadly he passed 2 years ago and his widow who is 81 just sold the Estate along with the rental properties. So she is gone to a $850,000 Condo she bought down on the Main line end of April and my wife and I take over for the new owners.holy fluck I'm in at 1.80 a gallon, they must have some seriously deep pockets with that amount of fuel

Great price, my last fill was about 35 cents a gallon more, but was only about 120 gallons.
