Just checked my Road Runner and those pieces are missing also. So double thanks to you Charlie - now I get to buy 2 sets. I did find them @ Mega for $15. a set and their shipping is awesome for me as we are both in Speedee's coverage.

Almost forgot, your scoop looks great Devin and congrats on the award. You deserve it.

He's pretty handy to have around even if he does make us spend more money haha. Glad you like the scoop, Thanks.

Some great shots of your car - it has turned out absolutely awesome. I too, am humbled and amazed at your fabrication skills. I am more of a "unbolt and re-bolt" kind of guy - proof that I have A LOT more to learn. Thanks for the great thread and inspiration too!

Finally, congrats on getting the kids to dig the car too. Having your kids get excited about it is awesome, and build great memories that you and they will never forget - that's priceless!

Absolutely, although my daughter has been hooked for quite some time I'm still working on the boy. Thank you for liking it!! I've said it before but I'll say it again, most of what I've done can be done by anybody just the same as long as you just go for it and don't accept failure even if it means itching for weeks haha. If there's ever anything I can do to help anybody out I'm always happy to share just like the guys here who helped me get this thing together.

That speaker assembly your building is really top notch cool, I just had my wife stop at her moms and get my sons 10, 11 inch? woofer not remembering to good but its built in a box he had in the trunk with one of those over powered amp's that was window rattling loud lol, I want it and maybe another built in my trunk when im done like i seen on Over-Hawlin, Kind of a project after the project i guess, ill see what a little Van Halen and the rest of the goodies sound like lol, im not much up on stereo systems and stuff, To many box's and wires.. Might be fun though! And again, i really love that hood on your ride, that's one nice car and its cool after all the problems you had that its now time to play and do things like your speakers and have some fun, I know ill be envious of that box (if i may) your building!! ")

Haha, I can see you now booming around town in your RR. I'm hoping the 6X9's have enough bass that I don't need a woofer but we'll see. Those 10"s sound great with some rock n roll.

I thought the 6 x 9 would be bassy enough but the big block drones over the stereo with ease, so I put this in 7500w of ear candy. mwwwahhhhaha

Nice, your trunk looks pretty clean. If nothing else I will have a good starting point but I did choose some really nice speakers and an amp so I'm hoping I won't need anything else. Looks like I'll find out this weekend seeing how they got my other speaker to me today.:headbang:

I also plan on making walls all the way around the trunk to clean it up and keep cargo from getting into the quarters or the little crap catcher nooks back there. It will all be done to match the interior as well .

O.K Charlie I'm a little confused about the rear window trim (interior). I just got it today and thought it would screw into the little slotted screw tabs on the headliner plates but it looks like it just goes on like a windlace?? If it does just shove on then what are those slotted screw holes for?? I can take pics if needed.

I myself don't need the extra music HP lol, I just thought it would really be cool to build a system in it like ive seen on shows, Maybe i can have some fun with it and i sure do like a lot of older rock in roll (Rush, Van Halon, Foreigner, ect), as long as my Gabby girl stays thinking the same! Some of the stuff i just cant handle compared to what the wife and i listened to back in the day, reminds me of that Diehard movie with Bruce Willis so long ago when the terrorists asked him how he should tortuer him and he said, "Play rap" rofl..

What a complete waste of a night, I set out to install the amp and anything else that I could get done and pretty much nothing got done instead. I decided to mount the amp up under the package tray out of the way and sight, I got the brackets all made and installed but when I went to open up the mounting holes in the amp I found out the chrome mount is plastic. With amps being fairly heavy I don't trust hanging it from plastic mounts so everything I did is scrap :angryfire:. At least all the wires and RCA cords are routed and tucked away so at least that's done but tonight will be crunch time.

The package tray is done and is absolutely gorgeous, the upholstery shop knocked it out of the park and now I don't want to install the speakers in it because it looks so good but there really isn't any other options with my seats being about 2"-3" thick foam.

Tonight will go smoother, I'll invite Captain Morgan over for the night and I'm certain to get allot more done haha. I don't know why but if I get a few drinks in me (never drunk) I tend to stay on task and get allot more done (I think I may have ADD). Look for the results and pics tomorrow.

well ya got me on this one,i think only the corners get screwed on but i'm not sure, let me know what you find out.

:)

Note to self: Captain Morgan helps cure ADD and wondering off task . . . for the next time I'm wandering off task all night ! !

Good to know ! ! ! Thanks 747 Mopar . . . now I'm off to the ABC store to get me some of that medicine . . . ( SMILE )

I've never met your friend Capt. Morgan but there's a Grey Goose that keeps me company on ocassion.
Cure for ADD? No, but it does make me feel invisible :)
