I seen this earlier Roadbird i was hoping someone would know what it is, honestly it resembles (cause of valve covers) a Chevy 348/409.. Thats what i thought at first glance. I never seen a Chrysler engine that looks like this you have my attention im curious as what it is..

is it in a Chrysler,Dodge,Plymouth, or a Desoto? know what model, specific year? My Dad might know.

Dont know, but i do know it would look pretty cool betwwen the frame rails of a 33 plymouth coupe

Says Chrysler on the big front bumper with a big rounded slightly pointed with a missing ornament on top of the hood. I think I saw the word Matador somewhere in that area where it's at but not to sure if it was that one. Should have pictured the whole car. I probably will and post more pics when I get the chance.

Any place on the engine, you can get to that has some numbers, anywhere it might say Dodge or Chrysler___ anything maybe that could be checked with different block castings numbers im thinking.. Its just a shot maybe but maybe Google can help us.

I'll get back to you all when I get the chance hopefully this weekend or sooner. With more pics and info on this car. Hopefully it still gonna be there.

Sorry folks it took me this long to get more pics and info on this car. I don't know what year it is but it's a Chrysler Windsor, engine size ?, it does say spitfire on the valve covers (both sides). Here are more pics and hope to identify this engine.

Anyway this engine can be modified to accept Hemi heads and block bored and stroked?

It's the same block and crank as the Hemi. If you have the heads, manifolds and pistons, it'll turn back into a Hemi. At least for the 331 or 354 sizes. Might be hard to find hemi pistons for the 301 version.

so did you get the engine/maybe the car too?
Not yet. I don't know if I will. Just want to move into my new home and start on my 70RR and 383 engine rebuild for it. If I still have some money left after I move to my new place and a new 60 gallon air compressor and a rotisserie for my Roadrunner and some other parts like a driveshaft and a 8 3/4 center section (3.23: 1 ratio minimum). I might go ahead and get the whole car and fix it up.

Could be my next project when I'm done with Roxanne.

Cant blame you for wanting to get into your new place and getting started, This does look like a cool project if you are able to grab it.. good luck with it all...

And that is my intent with this. But first thing is first, Roxanne.

I will be in Monroe Wa. next weekend at the swap meet with a 3:23 center section. I will have to look but i think it was a 742 case....

And if your needing anything else, have lots of 70 RR parts.
