Can't believe I got 1/2 the roll cage painted this afternoon. I using Rustoleum Hammertone black. Used a foam brush and it went on nice and smooth. Have to wait till tomorrow to do top windshield bar in front of the windshield area, and package tray down bars in the trunk.

The hammer tone does come out nice. My painter says he'll never spray a cage again. So my next one will be hammer tone.

So how much paint will you need to do the roll cage?

Thanks

It comes in a quart size I believe and I barely used an 1/8th of it so far. I also bought a rattle can of it to try and it seems to be a tad different than the roll on paint in the can.

Great thanks! I plan to R&R my cage mid summer. Thought I'd try the foam brush. I had a hammer tone on the S/G chassis I used to own and it looked fantastic. Looking forward to see yours completed.

Holy smokes. I didn't realize it already ran 8.50's. See that baby needed that funny car cage. You'll have to detune that puppy.

Or maybe I'm getting my cars mixed up. I can't keep em straight.lol

Wrong car. That's the Black 65 Dodge but that one is just shy of 8.50. Best of 8.58 up at Lebanon Valley.
Should be no problem at Atco running that number or when we go to New England Dragway this year.

I'm hoping to run a 8.95 with this new build but I doubt it. I'm thinking more of a 9.10 ET

Got the trunk part of the down bars painted and the some more of the inside bars. Going to mount up the ARC touch switch panel tomorrow and mount up my Racepak Sportsman and Racepak dash, bars are dry and look great.
Got to get under my fenders and paint the new J bars to the front frame rail.
