Starting a new build for my 65 Plymouth Belvedere

Don't have a definite weight but they are a lot heavier than they look. I have a set of steels in my garage. I'll have to pick them up again and try to guess a weight but off the top of my head I'm gong to say 40lbs each give or take a dime.
I'll try to get a scale under them this week.

Fiberglass bumpers weigh 8 lbs. each, so that will be a significant savings plus a fiberglass hood will be quite a difference too. How much do the steel hoods weigh.I'm thinking 75lbs. minimum?

I think my hood and springs weighed about 60 lbs.I don't remember exactly though. I was thinking about glass fenders but it didn't seem like the weight savings was that great. The steel fenders seem kind of light to me. Never weighed them.

I bet 100 lbs. total with hood, springs and fenders off compared to fiberglass front end parts. That's another .1 plus the 235 lbs. from the aluminum block and chromoly cage. That 335lbs. total savings.

I emailed Dave from ProTrans 2 Sunday's ago, he replied back promptly on the same day. I emailed him back asking him to call me so I can pay him for everyting. No reply back. I waited till last Friday and still no reply so I ordered everything from A & A Transmissions.
Guess who called me 2 days ago? A day late and a dollar short.

Bead locks are mounted with new 31 x10.5W M/T slicks. Engine is just about done. Just waiting on 2 Titanium intake valves and 2 exhaust valves. 1 hemi head is on lifters are in and valley cover is on. Valve job is finished.
Headers are all nicely recoated from Airborne coatings out of Hartford, Ct. Only place I will ever use.

ILMFAO actually,
when I 1st saw sled-city I was think immediately,
I hope he got them from someone who already went thru all the BS
or long wait, bad customer service, no return calls etc.,
I've recently read about just to get them already,
Unfortunately
seen allot of "allegedly" negative crap posted about them, over the last couple years,
never used any of the stuff myself, hope all goes well...

I saw them listed on sled-city's site for like $365 ea. IIRC
1/3rd the price can't hardly argue with that deal either

Disclaimer;
sorry sled-city no offence,
a bad rap or bad customer service/relations, is really hard too shake & spreads like wildfire
This is Larry @ Sled City Once something is put on the net , it is there for a long time. I wish I could name all the guys that have wanted parts within a week because their car just went into the body shop. They should have scheduled better . Of course you have the guys that just talk to you on the phone in Jan. , and they finally save up enough money from their paper routes and sends you a check in June and bad mouths me on the net and says it took 6-8 months to get the parts from me. Or how about the untalented guy that has a good job in a completely different field and changes his dream car build direction, bad mouths your parts and has them installed by a qualified builder and every thing is beautiful. Will he get on the net to say the parts were looking really sweet once installed---NO. There are a lot of Happy customers out there that never post a positive comment about not only my products, but every one else's products. Here at Sled City Fiberglass we are a small company and we like to get our parts out as quick as possible and each new order goes to the end of the line and works it's way up. If we get a lot of orders in all at one time, It takes longer to get a part. Sorry! I also deal with a few rubber checks every year, and that is why , when a check comes to my P.O.Box, I take it directly to the bank to deposit it. If it is rubber , I work it out with the client. In the last 3 years , I have received 2 Rubber checks , and I hate to say this , but they came form people on this forum. Of course I will not mention their names. As for me not taking phone calls, I think I have the right not to answer the phone after 5pm, but I do sometimes till 10pm and never before 9am. When I am on vacation, I leave the phone lay on the desk and I will answer messages when I go back to work. As for hood scoops, I feel that we make the BEST Super Stock scoops out there, not the cheapest. When I get them made up, I put them on ebay and the Hemi scoops go within a day or 2 and we have a hard time keeping them in stock. Need some parts? Just pm me or go to my site for more info. Thanks to Forbbodiesonly.com for having this great site. Larry @ Sled City Fiberglass

Well, as I said before. The bumper I received from Larry was fine and dandy. He always has responded to my emails and phone calls. No gripes from me, just a satisfied customer.
Cheers ya'll. Bill

OK Larry, this could be the way to redeem yourself very easily.
Make me a 65 Plymouth Belvedere liftoff hood with no Scoop and let me know when it is ready and i'll buy it and pay you right away.
If you come through for me, i'll let everyone know that you did the right thing. And my word is gospel.

My Weld Magnum Front Runners are on their way. Should be here by Wednesday. Thinking of new Moroso Drag Special front runners to compliment the new wheels.
