Waking up the beast

Love that sweet pic of you taking the X off the line. Almost looks like your front end is lifting off the ground a little.

spill the beans & time slips already...LOL

I'm sitting on pins & needles

Times lips will be posted. Very busy lately. I'll have more when I get back from Carlisle and beaver springs nostalgia race.

Here are my time slips from my last outing at Island. Some carb and timing tweeking and I had my best passes to date. My previous best was 11.31. This was done in the heat! I also picked up almost 2mph!

Hahahaha, the problem is the missing toof costs 1000 bucks to replace.

I forgot to mention my trip to Carlisle and Beaver Springs nostalgia race.
The weather was great for Carlisle. It's usually 100 degrees and 100% humidity. This weekend was about 85. Very comfortable. Met a few guys from FBBO. Car ran great. I put about 100 miles on it and it was flawless. I took Mrs. tile out to dinner Saturday night, got back to the hotel and loaded her up on the trailer. Woke up Sunday morning and drove 1-1\2 hours to Beaver Springs for the big nostalgia race. Took off the straps, went to start the car and it barley turned. Tried again ang the starter stated smoking. Done for the day before I even got unloaded. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! Stayed for one round of qualifying and drove 3 hours home. Replaced the starter and I'm ready to go for the Nendra race on Saturday.

The real problem is that hood is not correct for the the 68 GTX. I have the same hood and it correct to the 69. But it looks cool and if you have 2 fours or a six pack you need it. I have a six pack which is not correct to the 68 either. Sixty nine and later. But I love it!!

I know. I just can't fit my junk under the stock hood.

Nice new low ET Bobtile

or was that with the ol'dual Eddy's

I don't or can't remember...
sometimers acting up again...LOL

That's the holley/VICTOR setup. I KNOW I have a 10 second pass in this setup. Wait for the fall!!!!

Aside from the fact that I'm a handsome devil, What do you think about the first set of 68-69 Roadrunner/Satellite/GTX aluminum front bumper brackets to roll off the line??? These suckers weigh nothing. And the best part is...... You can own a set too!!!

Don't worry about the pavers, I'll get to them.
