What did you do to your Mopar today?

NOTHING. Until the knee is healed all the way I'm out of commission out in the garage.
Can't wait cause I'm getting sick of walking by the car on my way to physical therapy...

I LOVE that wagon!!

While gapping my new spark plugs I realized one 4 pack was actually a 3 pack. DOH!!

Air Dam in process

Air Dam underway. It sits aroud 4" off the ground at the center. The sides wrap around with the contour of the bumper to run parallel with the edge of the fender , but offset by 1". The offset keeps the front of the tire tucked in, not out in the airstream. I need some material to fab the lip for the sides to rivet to, so I'm on hold until delivery. I need to brace the bottom edge back to the core support to keep it in shape at speed. I'm also considering adding another inch or so to the bottom, but rubber so it can take a hit from road debris without damage.

steel rings of the torquestruts will be yellow-dichromated this week.

Although definately not a muscle car it is a mopar... I changed out the intrument cluster on my 99 Caravan as it kept going dead and somehow setting random error codes on the puter. I hate electrical issues but I must say it was pretty easy to change it out.

Changed out the rear light harness on my GTX. The old one looked pretty ratty and the light sockets were rusty and had broken tabs making them want to fall out of the lights. The new one from Year One was a perfect fit and the whole job took me about an hour. Tomorrow it's under the dash to replace the dashlight dimmer switch and replace the dashlights with LEDs DSCN3776.jpg

Drove mine over to my upholstery guy today to show him what I have made for panels and to plan out what all we are going to do to finish the trunk. He tells me he can get it in this week and will have it done by next Tuesday. In short he will cover the side panels in two tone pleated vinyl to match my seats and carpet the full floor of the trunk to match the interior. Will also make a box to go over the fuel cell and vinyl it and the battery box. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to pot next week - completed...

That is some SERIOUS rocker panel work right there.

I took off the valve covers to change the gaskets (and install some temporary swap meet VCs), and was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was in there.

Yes, I see the VC debris.

Now I can paint the originals, and my new intake and water pump, prior to installing my new cam and 4 barrel, slated for the end of next month.

Changed out the center section on the 8 3/4 in my 70 Road Runner on Sunday took the 3.23 sure grip 742 out and put in a 3.55 sure grip 489 with the 7290. Was pleasantly surprised to see that the correct H Dated u-joint Straps and bolts where still on it especially since it had been changed previously to a 742 so i polished them up before reinstalling. My car is a 4-speed and i am running 295/50 x 15's so the 3.23,s just did not cut it for me. The 3.55's made it much better. BTW i do have the 742 3.23 sure grip 7290 large yoke center section available if anyone needs a good clean just pulled quite one ready to bolt in PM me and let me know. Come on spring!

I ordered a new Lincoln Mig welder with gas today, Watched a pretty lady install our new high speed internet, which i thoroughly enjoyed lol, much faster then Hughes net and cheaper! :) warmed the Ram up and made arraignments with son in law to help me get my brakes bled so i can get the 73 outside and a 400 and couple transmissions out of my garage into another building, no room and no plans for any of it in the near future.. Need the room, 18-20 you keep clean or you don't keep busy.

console
