Then....the payoff! An ice cold '805' and some pool time just as it hit 100 degrees.

Got a new mountain bike in 06 (retirement gift from the company) and haven't had a flat with it at all but it needs new tires because they are cracked like crazy. Don't ride too fast these days nor do I ride a lot. Dang knees pretty much let me know within a mile!

What do you use to clean the roof? Mine sure needs it....

Going to pick this up today, if time permits. Not sure what to do with it yet, but it needs to be removed from the barn it’s in.

I'd sure know what to do with it! :) Didn't take me long to miss my 71 340 Cuda shortly after I sold it....

Went to the High Performance swap meet in Long Beach CA. Couldn't find one thing I needed to buy. Not much Mopar presence there.

That looks pretty cool, hopefully just a wash and mechanical work. Looks like it partied in the 70s.
Some good, some bad. The interior is nice, but it needs quarters. And it was hit in the front end at one time and supposedly fixed, I won’t know what’s Al entailed in that until I get it out and up on the trailer and get a look underneath. It’s been sitting in there for almost 30 years.

Pressure washed the barn inside and out, weed eatered the entire fence line inside and out, mowed the upper pasture, mowed selected areas and paths. Cleaned out the barn. Have company coming Wednesday from PA. Must present the best impression we can. Today will be more of the same, only around the house rather than the barn. Plus, I'll be straightening up the shop.

I did the pressure washing yesterday too. Before and after on my driveway.

Never met them before. They are Instagram friends of Remy and our Donkey's. Seem like nice folks and they are vacationing in Vermont and asked if they could stop by and see the animals and the farm. Why not. They act up and i'll shoot 'em.

Had to Unexpectedly adopt my Son's chickens. One got loose, where he shouldn't have owned them.
We're chicken farmers now, and any advice appreciated !

Update this morning: After cleaning the pen last evening, new straw, fresh food this morning, they seem to be settling in, leaving these right up front, clean, in the food bin !

Let’s see,

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
……oh wait, do you mean taking care of them?

Impotent or important ?

I also had some cleaning up yesterday. We've had a week of heavy rain ....and I missed my chance to spray part of my roof with "Moss & Mould" killer....so I saw a break in the weather and went out to hit the areas. Just about done when a huge gust of wind came along, and ended up with a face full of chemicals. It's OK, I can see still.....at least there won't be any green growth on my face for up to 3 months.

Happily it rained late last night, and I can already see a ton of the green moss has been washed away.

Old buddy of mine came to visit the other day. He was dressed to the nines in a brand-new suit, shoes, tie, the whole works. Real expensive stuff. I asked him what that was all about. He said "My doctor told me I'm impotent, so I figured I should look impotent."

Put d rings in my toy hauler, don't know why it didn't come with them. Then loaded the truck with parts and the barracuda in the trailer, leaving for Carlisle tomorrow. I will have to wash everything up before I leave, tree sap.arrgh ! Not much left of the the 65 belvedere. 20220708_201152.jpg20220712_204406.jpg20220712_201815.jpg

Did a little trout fishing this afternoon for the first time in roughly 50 years (I'm retired now).
Stopped by a small brook a couple of miles down the road from the house and got the line wet.
Caught a small 14" Rainbow on the first cast, then proceeded to loose 4 more before I realized the first fish had bent the hook on the fly I was using.

Always keep up appearances!!!! (Long as they’re not from Philly!). Rest of state is pretty decent……(Allentown for a couple yrs)

Army & Marine Corps marksmanship teams come out 4 days early for practice. Then, next week; it’s Camp Perry for the same thing all over again. Interestingly, 2002 the Coast Guard sent a team( with a flyover by a USCG chopper from Cleveland). Never saw them again(?)
For kiwi & others. The Australia team was there also, great guys. Had to ask for dispensation to practice on their pistols at next range over.(nowhere else to practice before they got here).
