What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Moved Mom again. This time from nursing home #2 to an assisted living home. At least she knows a lady that lives there from church. And this place doesn't smell like pee.

Removed the hydraulic cylinder from my 4 post lift to replace the seals. Not something you want to attempt single handed unless you have a bit of rigging.

Replacing wood railing with composite on my friends deck.
The only length of material that would work out was to order 20 footers. Two miles from Lowe's to my place was far enough.

Cut to length what I needed at my place.

Packed up and ready to take to her place.

Removed the warped, split wood and prepped for the new composite.

Not a bad job to do. Looks like a painting party in the future for the rest of the deck.

.22rimfire,2500X rifle w/Shilen barrel. 50yds with Lapua Midas+ ammo($15 for box of 50, whew).

Very consistent ammo. I know the shooter can be at fault for throwing a round now and then but when you find out it's the ammo doing it, arrrg!
I had that experience years ago with one handed pistol competition. Keep up the good shooting!

Was invited for the "Last Ride of the Year" at a Friend's place we get together at. Bow season approaching, so time to let the woods settle. I hadn't been out in 2 years, so figured I'd better make it. He's got a nice 6+ mile woods loop, of challenging single track, with ravines, creek x-ings, elevation changes, and a MX short track, with about 10 jumps. I managed 4 laps, without any hard hits, and feeling it today. Best part was, it was Our first time out together, with 3 Generations of riders, as My Son has His Son, up "almost" on 2 wheels !!!

Blade engage stuck on my mower.
It's been stuck about 85% for a while but did fully engage.
Yesterday it tried to take out the hinge on my trailer.
Almost kicked my *** trying to lube the cable.
After taking the entire "dash" apart along with the steering wheel I discovered the lever end attachment was plastic melted over- so no taking that off, and the cable end was under the lever, so had to keep bolting the bracket back on to operate it. Also discovered the other end must have had the ball crimped on after being inserted through the spring.
I swear I laid down, stood up, bent over and repeated at least 50 times while spraying graphite and white lithium in the housing.

Then I had to grind down the hinge in order to get the gate closed properly.

Neither was on my to do list for the day.

Still plugging away at the shed expansion project. Installed the metal roof this morning, sheathed the rest of the sides, and popped in two windows. Still have a ways to go yet, but I'm working on it.
