What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Well, went over to the Mather VA this morning, to have a 2 year follow up appointment at the cardiology department, in regards to the heart surgery that i had done.
(Had a valve replacement)
Guess i checked out ok with them, so i'm a happy camper.
One more scheduled evaluation with them in July, and after that, just continue to live your life, i'm told.
Sounds like some pretty good news !!

That conjured up an odd mental image.

Spent the afternoon trying to read Japanese. Well, in the end I loaded an app to my phone to speed things up a little. Trying to convert the Japanese to English in my wife's car. Harder than it sounds. In fact, I doubt this model is even capable of English.
Need to repair the interior light also....waiting for the shops to open so I can buy some BJ Weld.
BJ weld??

I also picked up three 4 foot sections of PT 4x4 from a debris pile on the side of the road.

Looks like they were once part of a fence. No deterioration, and only 2 hinges attached to one of them.

That's like finding $20. Who doesn't need extra 4x4 stock in the garage?

BTW- I boarded my windows entirely with wood I've found or was put in my dumpster.

I picked up some new wheels and tires for my trailer which included a spare. I got them swapped over to the new wheels. Now I have 2 spares, so I mounted them up the wall on some vertical E track.

I took out the air conditioners and carried them downstairs to the basement, grumbling something about getting central air conditioning the whole time! Today I have to cut the grass!

On Saturday, I looked at my shed roof intently, expecting it to fix itself. That failed. So, I washed the Coronet and my Passat, and fueled them both up. Ordered brake shoes for my Ford tractor, along with the new PTO shaft seal.

Finally got my dealership sign up. There's more than one use for some NOS flying wires and some electrical conduit !

Two 5/16 NOS flying wires and ends ready to go.

Starting to get low on them..

Hanging tube marked for drilling. Fly wire attachment at the end, a stop bolt for wall insertion and another to keep the sign from moving in or out.

Hole drilled... and of course I hit the wire to the light (live!)... so attic tomorrow to fix that... pole in and fly wires ready to attach to the fascia.

Everything together ready to install the sign.

Going up. Take bolt out, try not to have fly wires swing out of reach, slide sign on and try to get the fly wires back on solo.

Success !

All snugged up. Just need to add a plug to the end of the tube and glue a bunch of spikes along the top of the tube and the alarm siren box before the Robins come back.

Open for business....

First I grilled up lunch for my wife who had to go to work second shift, then cut the grass, then worked on the car for about an hour before going up and doing some more cleaning and organizing in the loft, which is a disaster that will take a few years to get in any kind of real order!

It was that weekend in my house too!

Installed a Service Entrance assembly to bring power to the shed the other day. I haven't wired it up yet, but it's getting close.

Wife noticed a Marketplace add for two stools and a bar for 75 Canuck bucks and they just happen to almost match the two Blue ones we bought in Tennessee coming home from Alabama in 2019. Off we went to pick them up a few towns away. The bar.. well.. it might be handy in the shop corner if I keep f'n things up! lol
