But ...yes, more than likely. There was a local extra special discount that finished today.....and extra bonus points. These are part of my 'corporate gifts' to valued suppliers and customers. :)

My oldest brothers house had an electrical fire this past Thursday night. Smelled it at the same time as the detector went off, walked downstairs and found a wall sconce on fire. We are salvaging what we can for him….

That sucks. Sorry to hear about this (and the cause). Most importantly, no one got hurt, so that's a blessing.

I had a fire in my house when we had my daughter's 2nd birthday party (she's 25 now). It is scary how quickly a house gets engulfed. All the wood and items in it are typically tinder dry and fire spreads VERY rapidly. I got very lucky with my house fire and managed to put it out, but it was a very close call.

I hope your brother can quickly rebuild - best of luck to him.

$500 of liquor and at least you got a free hat.

Had the day off, planned for duck hunting, woke up to 30mph winds, so I hauled the safe into my room in the basement, bought 4x4s for my reloading/office bench.

Finished the last of the siding on the new outbuilding. Sealed up the metal roof at the rear of the building, then mixed and poured forty five 80 lb bags of concrete at the entrance to the garage portion of the building. Filled the form with every rock and boulder that was found laying about, but it still took 45 bags to get it done.

While the car was out enjoying some sunshine, I took the opportunity to clean and rearrange my work area. All car related parts and tools in one location. Much better for wrenching. I wont get as many steps in, but I am ok with that !

Yesterday, my son took his Mom and Dad and his two boys to the Hamilton Warbird Heritage Museum (pictures on Who Likes Aircraft thread). My two children had bought me a flight on a C-47 Dakota as a birthday present and yesterday was Flight Day ( more pictures of this on another thread as I get it posted). My son is a Captain with Mississauga Fire Services, near Toronto, and took us over to his hall to meet his crew and see the hall and equipment after the museum visit. It was a beautiful and enjoyable family day.

Been doing some cooking and housework.....stuff I don't like to do but got around to replacing the fuel filter on my 97 diesel yesterday. Been awhile but the mileage is low on it and it looked pretty decent. It was a bit of a pita (as always) but was able to get it to fire up pretty quickly. Last time didn't have to use the primer pump but did this time because it didn't fire up as fast this time. Today has been shop cleaning day (but do that nearly every day) and watering some young trees that are looking stressed. Not much rain here all year long!!

I've had a couple of fires here over the years but they both were out under my shop carport that's behind my shop. One was bad enough to make me think about calling 911 but at about the same time, it started to subside so I kept hosing it with water until it was out. And yes, it was a gasoline fueled fire. Learned in the refinery that water is your friend even though it makes the fire bigger at first!

Oh man, I've done the bags of cement several times over the years but wow, 45 bags is a lot!!

Migrated the wifes laptop to a solid state drive and upgraded the memory from 4 to 16GB. She is happy and making me a nice dinner.

Trimmed the back neighbour's bush.

I spent years as a rescue/emergency aircraft crewman in UH-1H helicopters. Anything from Floods to fires we handled. I was a crew trainer so, lots of flight time. Army Meritorious Service Medal earned for my work, on numerous occasions.

Pulled our camper down for Winter storage. Helped our caretaker around the farm some, and enjoyed some good off-time with Larry, Linda, and their Grandson Conner. Found out it is Their 60th Wed Anniversary this week ! Blessings Upon Them !

Hmmmm,
....waiting for the shops to open so I can buy some BJ Weld.
BJ Weld? Sounds intriguing but dangerous. Let us know how that works out please.
Or did you mean JB Weld? Since everything there is upside down, I can see how that could happen.
