What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

sparky finished up a few days ago started the walls on the new shop

with 1/2" osb, getting dark in here.

Finally had part of a day to work on cleaning the shop.
Removed nails, screws and drywall sections from 4 2x12x8 boards I found in the dumpster, and put those in the wood pile, so I can now walk between my two work bench areas.
Sorted house repair stuff between plumbing, electrical, painting, door parts, and hardware and started sorting fasteners.
Fixed my mom's kitchen light.
Rode the motorcycle. finally had a chance.
Put some espresso I don't care for into the electrical switch boxes at my shop.
Hopefully that will keep the ants out.
I've lost three switches including one brand new one in two different boxes over the last 10 weeks or so.
VERY frustrating. In bay #8, I've had to make hooks on the wires and let them spring into each other to turn the dang lights on.
I hope this coffee thing works.
Got to watch my Tampa Bay Bucs lose on Sunday, and My Tampa Lightning lose twice over the weekend.
At least I got to sit on the couch and drink.

Oh...I think I figured out how to outsmart my tire pressure sensor system in my Renegade.

Whoever designed it decided that if ONE sensor stops working, ALL the rest of the sensors stop reporting.
WTF???
Sure would be nice to actually see the one that isn't working so it could be replaced.
However- the system STILL reports a tire that is underinflated, and still indicates which tire it is!
WTF x2???
So far it has told me the left front has been low, and today the left rear.
That eliminates those two sensors.
I think I will let some air out of the right side tires one at a time and see if it reports.
What a STUPID idea to have the system behave that way.
Just show me the three that work, and let them report, so I can simply replace the one that isn't reporting.

Moved a 6' long custom made computer desk out of the front room which is slowly being taken over as a storage room for a lot of stuff that was in my shop. Pulled all the drawers out of it yesterday and broke them down today and cut up for the burn pit. Yes, I tried to give it away but no one wanted it. Wife messed it up with finger nail polish remover etc. so that's something of a turn off and it's just old school and seems no one wants a big piece of furniture in their house. When I got done with the drawers, went into the house and dolly the desk out and cut up most of it this evening after taking a break. Been really busy past few days sorting parts and putting stuff aside to get rid of and well, I'm a bit tired to say the least.

Had to put a plug in one of my tires today on my truck. Man the tiny piece of steel was between the treads. Must only be around 1/8 to 3/16 of rubber there. One, maybe two ply there. Things are so cheap these days.

Spent 5 hours of quality time in the forest with #1 Son, fusion splicing the fibre cable between his place and mine. Some little bastards chewed thru it on Friday night, but thank God it was in one of the pull boxes and it wasn't in the Winter. Only bad of the day was him confiding that he has another lump on his neck... "don't tell Mom".

Didn't work on my car but 'kinda' did....cut up some sheet metal for it and stuck a measured portion in the trunk and the rest went into the 'storage' trailer with some of it going into the scrap pile. 'Stinking' about watchin the ball game this evening.....

There's a gel in some kinds of fiber that rodents LOVE.
We had that problem for years until we figured it out.
...well, our wiring supervisor figured it out.

No gel in our stuff. 6 glass strands, kevlar protection sheathing and then the vinyl overcoat. Buggers just decided to make their nest right on top of the coil in the pull box. One loop was in the bottom of their nest and got chewed.

A lot of yard work and I'm still not done.

Creating clouds of dust while sanding drywall plaster ready for paint. :p

The Amazon delivery driver brought me the new Rolling Stones CD.
Now i get to listen to it, what's left of today. :)

Edit: Just finished listening thru the full CD.
I like it, worth what CD's are selling for these days.
These old guys can still get it done.
