Submit and I went for a last kayak ride on the lake on this beautiful 75 degree day.

75 and sunny here too (MD). Took the top off the wrangler and did about 100 miles thru the PA countryside looking at peak leaves and enjoying the nice weather.

Tomorrow, 55 and rain. Yuk.

Final talley:

40,000 lbs of rock
17,000 lbs of sand
33,000 lbs of pavers

90.000 lbs total
Damn....that's a lot of washing machines.

Lazy day Sunday here.....got a bit sunburnt yesterday. Have to tidy my garage up a bit before work tomorrow. Tools need putting away now that the major wiring is done. Might even find time to start cutting architraves for the bedroom renovation.....I need paint on walls so I can get the A/C installed.
Summer is coming fast. :drinks:

Hit 88 here today and supposed to do the same tomorrow then hit the low 50' high 40's for Monday morning with rain and wind. Sounds like a good day.

82 with only 64% humidity.

NICE day.

Planned to check to see if I have a bent blade on the mower but shagged it off to go thrifting with my wife.
Was also buy one get one for $3 at Ruby Tuesday. 2 full baby back slabs and 2 salad bars.
Wife ate one salad and I got 2 more meals of ribs.
Had to get a dang $14 margarita though.
Even with the coupon was $70!
The savings did pay for the tip, though.

I had to look up architraves. I've never heard that word. Is that what we call door and window moulding?
Some people refer to it as 'Window & door trim'

I guess architraves is more from the days of 'sculpted' floor trims, and ornate covings around the ceilings. Old school builders still use the term here.

We also use Architrave light switches and socket outlets here - they are slim fit to be cut into the trim timbers - only used where absolutely necessary.

Well, today, i dis assembled, cleaned, detailed the A body lower control arms that i got yesterday at the local Pick-N-Pull wrecking yard.
Got everything soaking out in my pail of Evaporust right now.
And right now I'm sucking down on a bottle of Napa Valley Chardonnay, white wine, to celebrate me getting down to 179 pounds, from 230, yesterday morning.
Took 7 months to do it, so i think i'm entitled to get a bit drunk tonight, at home. lol

Many years ago I had an attacked oversized 4 car garage. Copper air lines ran to pull down hose reels, in my shop also. Three way switch in both areas to operate my compressor which was in a third location with my shop vacuum system. Lights everywhere, pull down retractable extension cord and outlets every 8 feet. Then I had a few oversized 3 car, then a few oversized 2, and it's a 22 foot x 21 foot now, my last. I haven't installed my compressor, lights or outlets. I don't have my 6 different shovels and every tool, to do anything in your yard. I gave it all away years ago and today I hung my only retractable extension cord and a few shelves and one light. We'll talk about the hose reel another day.

First time for me too....and I worked for H.A. Bowers Trim Contractors (my dad) 50 years ago lol

My buddy pick up an 1990 ford 150 extended cab with 47,000 original miles,Sitting for 15 years. A lot of surface rust at the undercarriage. Original tires dry rot. Got it start and the work begins. Removed muffler so far….

This has solid close off panel that will be installed overnight and other times it is needed. Not a lot of critters here except for a few feral cats but they want nothing to do with her.

Went to the weekend breakfast [2/sat and sun], with a bunch of east-side car guys. It's basicly the Tignanelli Brothers/Shadowoods meeting of minds. Those guys are all great, and mostly just car-guys and friends of the Tig boys. The saturday one is bigger, with more local famous Detroit car guys. Tom has so much Chrysler racing and engineering history, and Jim drove the cars and did the "political" stuff with the NHRA tech-guys. I hero-worshipped these guys back in my teens, when I would be racing at Motor City and Detroit Dragways. I'm honored to have been invited to be in the group. Tom, Jim, and I went to the US Nats this year.
They dug out the "outlaw" 1970's, 1968-SS/A `cuda for some revamping....and other future activities.
