What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I made some wheel cribs to make an upcoming exhaust system project a little easier...

Interesting that six different shovels was mentioned.
I was just pondering how many I had.
Somehow, my nice fiberglass handled "spade" got misplaced in the past 3-4 months, so I had to replace that.
The new one- a Kobalt brand is quite nice. It has a good edge and good solid foot pads with serrations for grip, and they help it hold more dirt, as it can stack higher on the back.
I'd have thought a "shovel" was pretty much designed out, but I guess there was still room for improvement.
I'm amazed how much lees pain (blisters) and fatigue you get with a fiberglass handle vs wood.
I also have a flat nosed "shovel" that I've had forever. If the material is already loose, a shovel speeds loading by about 30-40%.
I've picked up a couple small trenching type spades at yard sales and/or thrift stores.
I keep one at the house and one at the shop, in case the "good spade" is at the other location.
plus it's nice to have a small blade for tight spaces and a short handle in case it needs to go in the trunk of a car.
I just noticed the two are different. One has a traditional spade shape the other is much more rounded.
I've loaded a wheelbarrow with each of them before.
I also picked out of the dumpster, a standard spade blade on a short, D handle.
It's rusting out, bit it was one of those "oh, crap the good spade is at the house....wait, what's this...here's one in the dumpster" moments.
So, I have five different shovels/spades.
...and a post hole digger that I also found in the dumpster.

...and we had a raccoon come in through a cat door several times.
Opening is about 8"x8".
We're pretty sure we saw it inside a few times as we heard rustling in the pantry, and then saw a gray striped leg exiting through the door.
At the time we had a big gray tabby male so it took a little while to put 2 and 2 together.
Our cat had white feet. The raccoon had black feet, but we only realized this after....
One night we heard a crash, and in the morning found a snap closed plastic cat food tub spilled right by the cat door.
That's when everything clicked as it was way too heavy for the cats to drag, and would have required opposable thumbs.
That night we waited up and busted the little thief scurrying out.
I'm pretty sure I posted a pic when it happened.
He was almost cheesing a smile for the camera.
I trapped him and took him a pretty fair ways away as they are pretty good about coming back.
Never had that happen again, but the cats are inside only for the past 4 years.

Oh man...have a neighbor that had a coon use the pet door to come in. He said he woke up in the middle of the night with the coon standing on his chest looking straight in his face lol. He closed the pet door lol.

Didn't do much of anything today. Been at it pretty hard for nearly two weeks and I'm feeling used up lol

Cleaning up some crap....advertised some 'junk' on FacelessBook and lit a fire in my little burn pit to get rid of the desk 'parts' that I moved out of the house about a week ago.....

Delivered 'The Roach' to the body shop today and on the way back, picked up my reupholstered Procar bucket seats (for my '69 Cuda) from the upholsterer.

I worked to close out open orders, did my expense report for October and went through invoices for special order parts so AP can pay them.

I'v got Sirius XM radio in my car, that i like listening too, so i purchased a unit to use here in the house.
Had to call in, for them to set me up with a subscription for that unit, and then to activate it.
Went lots easier than i thought it would.
I was putting off making the phone call, but got around to doing it this morning.
Their customer service was great, and was impressed with it, knowing their call center is off shore somewhere, not here in the USA.

Spent close on six hours searching for the remote for the car stereo. Ended up finding a place that had two in stock. Discontinued stereo, but I really didn't want to have to buy another just so I could get the sounds right.

This cold front blew a bunch of crap in with it and I'm about to take my 2nd Allegra '24 hour relief' pill within 6 hours!
Haven't done hardly anything today...

The Austin Allegro was a terrible car.
