What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I caught this one yesterday afternoon but it wasn't even half the size of the bigger pike.
I did win at mini golf this morning after a slow front 9.

It could use a 400. It is a 22' heavy boat. Lund 2150 Baron. Full tank of fuel alone weighs 500 pounds.
How fast do you want to go? We have 23 Sylvan off shore cuddy cabin with a 220 Laser. Current prop 58mph. Can still troll with it. Have other props, but they don't want to insure it over 60 mph.

This is one of 12 police bike prototypes built by Buell in 1998. My VIN is the second one built. I rebuilt the bike this summer (it has been apart for nearly 11 years while I accumulated the correct parts - including brand new decals from the original vendor). I put tags on it last month and have put the sum total of 162 miles on it. Decided I'm gonna go on a ride this weekend - bunch of Buellers get together every year in WV for a weekend of camping and lots and lots of riding. I haven't been in 15 years. The base camp is 240 miles from here. I'm going solo. It'll be a 1000 mile weekend, easy.

What could go wrong? LOL

Today it got an oil change, I installed my brake light flasher (I REFUSE to be the victim of an "uhhh I didn't see um"), I installed some storage tubes under the saddlebags (one for tools, one for a half gal fuel bottle - 20 miles I don't have to push!), put my tank bag on and wired it for a cig lighter so I can charge my phone, pulled the tent out of storage and set it up to make sure no holes, loaded my tent, sleeping bag, and air mattress (hey - I'm old), fueled up and did about 25 miles to make sure it handled ok loaded...and plotted the route on the gps.

Financially, with the apartment nightmare in right now, I should not be doing this.

Mentally? I need it. I need the escape.

Made it!

250 miles, and only 45 min on the median when the kill switch went nuts and shut everything off. Well, more accurately...the bike shut off at 80 mph and I traced it to the kill switch. Took apart the switch housing, cleaned the contacts, and....so far so good. If it does it again, I'm cutting the wires and splicing them together, and bypassing the switch.

And, 58 mpg. On a fully (over)loaded, 26 year old motorcycle, cruising through the mountains at a steady 80 mph. Love it!

Well, i got down to the Stockton, California, Pick-N-Pull, wrecking yard, this morning, and got the lower control arms off a plain Jane, 1972 Plymouth Satellite, for me to do my rebuilding on them.
Just a drum brake car, or i would have gotten everything else off it.

Good tined roll down rear windows?
