For those of you that don't ever want to sell your car.

What is your realistic "my car is not for sale" price, but if someone offered it up in cash you would sell it?????

Mine is 50K!

I would ask what I have invested in it which is probaly around $35-$40k total. Sentimental value being my fathers car add another $50k. Soo probaly $100,000.00 aka it will never be sold lol

Mine would likely be $50,000, a lot more than I have in it. The money would buy another basket case but this time around it would also fund an Art Morrison chassis and a Hellcat drivetrain.. probably be broke again at that point a finish it out of pocket lol.

I just shake my head no. Car might be worth $20k, but don't care if it's $200. Would take too long to get another decent driver with the power, gears, etc. Nothing out there, even the Resto's will be reliable enough for me. With exception of course.

My price is $70k and the car is for sale at that price or close to it. I get offers all the time but they’re wishful thinking offers. I have plenty in this rod and it’s like brand new.

My '65 426 4 speed Monaco is currently for sale at $20,000. Yes, it does need a full resto but also comes with a small box truck of parts. Although it may not be super desirable to most it is in fact super rare. As for my '77 'Doba, I don't think a penny under $25,000 and even knowing that is not realistic, probably even higher just because.

Depends on how expensive the car they pull up in is! If it's a kia it's not forsale if it's a $50-$100K car it's 2X's what I have invested if it's a 100K + car it's about $35,000 cash that number is low enough they would come back with cash then I'd rob them!

My car 68 RR LL1 surf turquoise metallic
current value maybe "realistically" $35k
to the right person on the right day, maybe $50k {I doubt it}

I wouldn't sell it ever for that,
a pie in the sky offer maybe $70k :blah:
I may consider it, $100k it'd be gone :moparsmiley:
but I don't want to sell,
I don't need to sell,
I don't want to explain all the stuff that's been done,
or why it was done, if you don't understand
IMO you should buy it anyway
it {the car} to me worth far more than just the sum of the parts,
or the hundreds of hours of time working or wasted... :carrot:
It's my B_I_T_C_H, I can't just sell her...

I sold my last car that was pretty much the same,
just with a better engine
lighter & much faster combo for $28k, 2007-ish
to a buddy that had to have it...
I knew she was going to a good home too... :realcrazy:
He flashed me cash & I was able to keep the hood & trick 6bbl set up...
$4k worth of stuff
BUT;
If I didn't have this #13 68 RR there sitting & waiting,
67k miles that was a complete car
but rough as hell body, with great interior,
decent org. 383/727/8.750 drivetrain,
I needed a reason or for a good excuse,
for using all the other double bought parts
2 at a time purchases I made, building said RR#12
I'd have never sold the other old silver 68 RR
I have far more time in the other car,
it was way faster & proven combo...

I wish I had kept it now...

The $$$ was helpful at the time, but I shouldn't have done it...

Guess we will find out

Serious offer? I might let it go for $50,000 but I'd have to think a while on it

Put me down for $50k also, but truth be known, I wouldn't sell it for anything.
Not that she's all that, just that there's a lot of my time and *** in it, a lot of it painfully.
Truth be known, I don't have the time left to do another one anyways.

Now, if someone wanted to trade a '68 Super Bee in similar condition, well.... :)

Nobody would ever give me dollar for dollar what i have invested in my car. So it doesn't matter. The question is how much could i get for each dollar invested. Somebody once told me he'd sell any car if the price was right, I'm not sure if i agree with that but whose to say.
