What is your realistic "my car is not for sale" price, but......

$1,000,000,000,000 . And FBBO members get 50% discount. Cash only.
This deal was SO good, I couldn't pass it up myself. So, I sold my car to me, with the 50% discount. There's only one problem, though. Now, my car is only worth HALF of what it was before the sale. :screwy:

I think I would let my Charger go for $40K, maybe slightly less. Cash is king.

got a friend with an original 1971 GTX Hemi 17k actual miles, original owner. His is not for sale at any price. He says what I say: You can't take it with you(Money)
so enjoy what you have.

With less than 400 miles a year he needs to enjoy it a heck of a lot more!

Sorry, he wants to remain anonymous, and I respect that.I have known him a long time. But I have seen it, and verified it truly is what it is. The last car I heard of that unusual around here was purchased by Chrysler corporation 10 or so years ago ,a 1971 hemi convertible around 2006.

I am probably worse, as I have owned my 68' Charger since 1985, and have put about 1,000 miles on it in 33 years.

wait, you mean people would actually pay money for one of these ?? LOL:rofl:

when you have 14 restored classic cars and 12 more waiting, a guy has only so much time.

72 Challenger was fathers car so that's a no go. Been in family since 75. Plus I'm just learning to leave good street marks with this one.
I love driving the 67 GTX and she's going in next week for a motor rebuild. I really like this body style. Also wife and daughter like to drive it. So that's a no go right now.
I waiver now and then on the 62 Polara. Sometimes I think trade and other times cash. My son likes driving this car because it's so nostalgic.
I wish there was a job that you could just drive classic cars everyday. Maybe that's called retirement.

no, some expensive, some Inexpensive, but they are all fun to look at and drive, and they vary in years from 1941 thru 1977. Their historical significance is far more Important to me then what they are worth, and I always wanted a museum. I still drive them, but In Nebraska November thru March is out. They aren't a lot of trouble, but when the day comes that they are, They will be sold.

Last night, some older man (I'm 60) came up to me hinting about buying my car. He offered 28k. Then I saw the drool on my wife's lip at the thought of that money. That's when I decided it's not for sale. The only reason I would sell, is to buy something else. So I asked myself, within reason, what other car would I rather have. I couldn't think of one. I guess my car fits me.

None of my 4 classics will ever be for sale. So many I let go over the years but I know you can't keep them all. It is all I do. I don't drink, don't do drugs or smoke. I play in the garage, cruise & race my cars. My kids will wind up with everything once I am gone....

I had mine (9 second nitrous hemi car) up for sale at $55k with no real interest so I guess I’m just gonna keep it.

Was this the car in your avatar? Is it a Superbird? (At this price, probably not.)

No, it’s my street car, 70RR.

The cars we have and enjoy are pieces of our living and enjoying life.
For those of us that have struggled to get what we want to play with--the question of price is kind of creepy. It means turning pleasure into cash.:screwy:
Is a big pile of cash better and more fun?

Some folks are driven to make the biggest pile of cash/value possible as a life's work. In that effort -enjoying what money can buy can be set aside until later.---Exactly when does later arrive?

IMO those that say "It's not for sale" understand what enjoying what we have really means.

I have a car that is not for sale. If someone offered stupid money for it I would tell them to wait for the estate sale when I die and save a bundle.:steering:
